A teacher, kibbutznik, politician, stateswoman. She was the world's 4th, and Israel's 1st and only, woman prime minister. David Ben-Gurion called her "the best man in the government." To this day she is a towering figure of leadership & resolve.

"We shall live at last as free men on our own soil."
The 1st Zionist Congress began in 1897 in Basel, Switzerland, and was chaired by Theodor Herzl, the founder of the modern Zionist movement. Herzl didn't live to his dream of a Jewish state become a reality - but it did.
The EU Council adopted a declaration on mainstreaming the fight against antisemitism. This is a good news not only for the Jewish communities in Europe but as well for humanity. Let us make the world a better a place!
