This is Santoshi Sharma Rajak.
She had warned the authorities. She had asked for protection. She had done everything she could to stay safe.
But on March 14, while on her way to the police station, acid was thrown on her.
Today, she shares her story in her own words.
No one should have to go through this.
We urge @SPSouthdinajpur @WBPolice@MamataOfficial@NCWIndia to take immediate action, ensure her safety, and bring the accused to justice.

A woman asked for her legal share. She was threatened. She complained to police.
And days later, acid was thrown on her.
This is the story of Santoshi Sharma Rajak from Balurghat, West Bengal. #JusticeForSantoshi
Santoshi had already filed a complaint on March 11, naming those threatening her over a land dispute.
On March 14, while on her way to the police station AGAIN, she was attacked with acid.
No arrests have been made yet.
The accused are still roaming freely.
Santoshi, her mother, and her 18-year-old daughter are living in fear.
She asked for protection. She was told police are busy with election duties.
Is her life less important?
We demand:
Immediate arrest of all accused
Police protection for Santoshi and her family
Accountability from authorities

This evening, we did not just light candles.
We lit a collective resistance.
Our survivors, members of the community, children, volunteers, and the Music Factory, team came together for the candle march, led by our founder @alteralok, to seek justice for Tarana. Every step we took carried grief, anger, and an unshakable demand for accountability.
Tarana was brutally attacked with acid.
She suffered.
She waited for systems to respond.
And she lost her life.
This candle march was not a ritual.
It was a reminder that Tarana’s story will not be forgotten and her death will not be reduced to another headline.
Let this be clear.
Our fight does not end with this candle march.
It will continue until Tarana gets justice.
It will continue until strict punishment is delivered.
It will continue until systems stop failing survivors.
We owe her more than silence.
We owe her rage, resistance, and relentless action.
Tarana, you are not forgotten.
And this fight will not stop.

This reel exists because Tarana doesn’t.
She was attacked with acid.
She fought for her life.
And on 04 January 2026, she lost that fight.
This is not just about one man’s crime.
This is about delayed treatment.
Broken systems.
And a response that came too late.
An acid attack does not end with the attack.
It continues in hospitals that are not equipped.
In delays that turn injuries into deaths.
In a system that fails survivors again and again.
Do not watch this reel and scroll away.
Your silence is part of the problem.
Raise your voice. Demand justice. Demand the strictest punishment for her murderer. Demand systemic reform so no survivor is left to die waiting.
Comment. Share. Speak up.
Make this reel louder until accountability follows.

She locked her beauty parlour like she did every day.
She stepped onto a familiar road, surrounded by shops, people, noise, life.
She had no idea that within seconds, everything would be taken from her.
Two men stopped her. Asked for directions.
And then acid was thrown on her face.
In a crowded market. In broad daylight.
Her screams cut through the street as her skin burned, her eyes blurred, and her body gave up.
She collapsed into a drain, fighting unimaginable pain, while her attackers vanished without fear.
Today, a 37-year-old woman is lying in a hospital bed, her face severely burned, her future uncertain.
She is battling for her life.
And the people who did this are still free.
This is not just cruelty. This is a failure of the system.
How is acid still so easy to access?
How do criminals escape so effortlessly?
Why does justice arrive only after lives are destroyed?
An acid attack does not end in one moment.
It scars the body forever.
It haunts the mind forever.
It changes a life forever.
Anger is not enough anymore. Sympathy is not enough.
We need arrests. We need strict control on acid sales. We need fast-track justice.
Do not scroll past this.
Speak up. Share. Demand answers. Demand accountability.
Because silence allows this to happen again.
And next time, it could be someone else.

Today on International Human Rights Day, we conclude the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence, but our fight does not end here.
For acid attack survivors, the demand is simple and universal.
Dignity. Safety. Justice. Equality.
These are not privileges. These are human rights.
For 16 days, our sheroes raised their voices against acid attacks, discrimination and digital violence. They shared their stories, their strength and their truth.
And now we ask you to carry this movement forward.
Stand up for survivors.
Stand up for justice.
Stand up for every woman and girl whose voice is ignored or silenced.
Your share can educate someone.
Your comment can support someone.
Your voice can protect someone.
Take a stand today. Speak out whenever you witness violence online or offline. Human rights belong to all of us.
🟧 Join the movement. Keep the conversation alive.
