It's sad that I think the fraud will benefit the US economy more than govt. spending... maybe wishful thinking but if the US govt. had a surplus of $500B they sure as hell wouldn't be repaying debt, reducing taxes, or focusing on US.
@Biedersam Dallas has 5 I M Pei buildings, 1 more than NY. We'll be okay. This isn't a historic building by any stretch. It'll cost taxpayers $1B to replace, but like double considering it's govt. managed.
@Biedersam You clearly don't live in Dallas. One of the worst public service buildings ever built. Completely mismanaged by Dallas city council. It would be a Godsend for Mavericks to spark energy back into Downtown. IT IS ON LIFE SUPPORT.
@YIMBYman I love I. M. Pei, but it's one of the most impractically built public service buildings. It takes 10 minutes to go all the way down the corridor to find a bathroom. Dallas city council can't manage nice things anyways... they've had a decade to address issues.
$UNH down significantly on rates staying flat. What happens when investigation reveals significant upcoding? They'll be recouping 90% of patient risk payments they previously captured and it doesn't look like this administration cares to be a backstop either.
Tsunami headwind.
$UNH It’s bad now but it could get worse. Ask anyone in Medicare billing, United is the top abuser of upcoding HCCs to max out revenue. Their trailing 12-month FCF is meaningless going forward. A 5% risk adjustment change could slash it by 25%.

I’d love to stand here and tell the American people “we can cut your taxes and increase spending and everything will be fine.”
But I can’t because I’m here to deliver a dose of reality about the ticking debt bomb known as the “Big Beautiful Bill.”
If they're secretly paying nursing homes, there could be some wrong doing. However, I'm not sure the concept itself is illegal or even wrong if they're appropriately avoiding hospital readmissions. SNFs and other post-acute providers have formal contracts for this. $UNH
@Biohazard3737 You don't need Windows to use BBG; I've used it on my MacBook. However, if you rely on any Microsoft and BBG integrations, the experience isn't as good as it would be on Windows.
