Crews arrived to heavy smoke coming from the rear of a house with an outbuilding on fire extending into the house. The resident was able to safely escape before the flames went into the house and attic. The cause is under investigation.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of a 2 story house. One person had smoke inhalation, 2 dogs were rescued and a reptile had smoke inhalation as well. The cause was likely from a dryer in a utility room.
Apartment Fire:
300 block of 27th Street
Crews arrived to heavy fire showing from the 1st and 2nd floors of a two story apartment complex. Everyone was able to escape without injuries but one person was bitten by a dog while exiting. The cause is under investigation.
Semi Truck Fire:
Southbound I-5 at Pocket Rd.
Crews arrived to a well involved semi truck extending into the trailer. The semi was carrying a load of cardboard. The driver escaped without injuries however, traffic is impacted.
Commercial Fire:
400 block of University Ave
Crews arrived to a well involved, vacant office building. The decision was made to go defensive due to the advanced fire conditions on arrival. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation, although suspicious.

Crews arrived to a well involved vacant building with heavy fire from the boarded up structure. One firefighter was injured and transported in stable condition. Unknown on the cause, however it is suspicious in nature.

3000 block of Branch St.
Crews arrived to a single story house with smoke showing from the rear. Upon making entry, a kitchen fire was found, extending into the attic. Everyone was able to escape without injuries and the cause is under investigation.
Special Rescue
1700 block of 15th St.
Crews arrived to find two workers hanging off the side of an 8 story building. This happened while they were working on the building. Rescue crews were able to safely lower them down. No injuries were reported.

Last night, crews responded to a multi unit structure with heavy fire from the 1st floor. A quick knockdown limited spread to other units in the building. No injuries and the cause is under investigation.

Crews arrived to heavy black smoke coming from a closed garage. The occupants were able to get out safely and crews held the fire to the garage with no extension inside of the house. The cause is under investigation.

Crews arrived to flames showing from an abandoned building. A defense approach was taken to stop the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.

Crews arrived to heavy smoke and fire from the rear of a 1 story house. After making fire attack, an explosion occurred compromising the roof. The fire was held to the property of origin with no injuries. Unknown on the cause.
Hazmat Incident
8600 block of Unsworth Ave.
Crews arrived this morning to find a significant odor of ammonia in the area. An isolation distance was established and a leak was found at a nearby facility. One person with minor injuries. Crews on scene are still working.
High-Rise Fire Training
The Sacramento Fire Department will be hosting a high-rise fire drill at 450 N St. in November. Fire agencies from across California will participate, learning how to operate in these fires. Traffic will be impacted, and theatrical smoke will be present.

Bercut Dr/Summit Tunnel Ave
Crews responded to reports of a person possibly trapped in an underground tunnel. Search dogs swept the sink hole area, and crews dug extensively, but no victim was found.
Structure Fire:
300 block of Delagua Way
Crews arrived to a well involved garage fire extending into two vehicles. A quick knockdown stopped the fire from spreading to the living space. No injuries and the cause is under investigation.
Apartment Fire:
600 block of Del Verde Ci.
Crews arrived to heavy fire from an upstairs unit extending across the breezeway to another unit. A quick knockdown stopped the spread and limited the fire to one unit. No injuries and unknown on the cause.
Helicopter Crash
US HWY 50 at 59th St.
Crews responded to a helicopter down on EB US50 West of 59th St. On arrival, 3 victims from the aircraft were located in critical condition. No vehicles were involved, just the helicopter.
