@heydudemeg This is actually the only thing that I believes gives “credence” to the Best Picture theory.
The snobby documentary branch will absolutely snub it. BUT, I think knowing it may be snubbed could encourage the younger voters in the Academy to push in Picture and Editing
I’m not saying You Can See Everything is going to be nominated for Best Picture. I will note that my cineplex is sold out all weekend. Docs don’t do that
@heydudemeg I think these two are def the frontrunners, but I wouldn’t fully rule out Elsinore. With two of the remaining three Big Players (Digger and Behemoth!) not looking like BP plays, it makes room for something like Elsinore to jump
@MendezMovieRPT I’d say these indicate a shot at a weak Best Picture nominee (Picture, Actor, smattering of technical nods) but its real litmus test is the box office. At any rate, anyone who had them can probably clear Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Director, and O. Screenplay
Unfortunate time of the year where I have to sneak into The Odyssey after (or sometimes during, if it’s so bad it’s not worth the review) other screenings just to feel something
@meganlachinski Not ready to take the leap on Ink, and I think TLC has a shot at writing/acting (but not more), but ultimately, I don’t think these hot takes are all that bad!
For a book I was mixed positive on (incredibly beautiful moments mixed with juvenile prose), the casting and creative team thus far is honestly staggering. Right director right actors, etc
Daisy Edgar-Jones tells EW that it was “an amazing feeling” when she and costars Sky Yang and Sean Kaufman did their chemistry read for the upcoming adaptation. https://t.co/THX67wrbGK
