✅Let’s learn something tonight.

You guys have heard about cupping, which is Hijama. You know about the black seed. But there is another major branch of Prophetic Medicine that is almost entirely forgotten today.

It is called Sa'oot (سعوط).

What does it mean? Sa'oot is the Arabic term for administering medicine through the nose. Think of it like modern nasal drops or nasal inhalation. The Prophet (peace be upon him) used this method and heavily prescribed it for respiratory illnesses.

The most famous use of Sa'oot in the Sunnah involves a root called Qust al-Hindi, which is Indian Costus.

During the time of the Prophet, when a child had swollen tonsils (belubelu in local parlance) or a severe throat infection, mothers had a painful habit of physically pressing on the tonsils with their fingers to treat it.

The Prophet saw this and rebuked it. He told them to stop torturing their children and commanded them to use Sa'oot with Qust instead.

The process is very straightforward. You take the finely ground powder of the Qust, mix it with a few drops of olive oil or water, have the sick person tilt their head back, and drop it into the nostrils.

The medicine travels through the sinus passage, clears the respiratory tract, and attacks the throat infection directly from the source.

It shows the depth of Tibb an-Nabawi. We were not just told what herbs to consume. We were given the exact medical pathways to administer them long before modern clinics created nasal sprays.

Do not kill a snake if you find one in your home.

A handful of them are jinns, especially those ones that would coil up in a corner peacefully. If you kill them, you will most likely die too.

If you ever find a snake in your home:

1) Give it a 3-day warning. You must issue an ultimatum for 3 days. Tell it to leave your house and warn it not to stay.

2) If the snake is a Jinn, it will understand the warning and leave without returning.

3) If the snake remains or returns after the third day, it is a normal animal. At that point, you kill it.

However, the Prophet (peace be upon him) made exceptions for two specific types of snakes. You do not wait three days for these. You kill them immediately on sight, even inside the house.

1) Al-Abtar: This is a snake with a very short tail.
2) Dhu-Tufyatayn: This is a snake that has two distinct white stripes on its back.

These two types of snakes can snatch your eyesight and can cause a woman to lose her pregnancy.

You have to be very careful. Learn and understand the etiquettes of dealing with snakes.

Let us bring the Hadith to the table to get to the root of her misguidance. In Sahih al-Bukhari, Sayyidatuna Aisha narrated the immediate reaction of the female companions when this verse was revealed. She said:

يرحم الله نساء المهاجرات الأول لما أنزل الله وليضربن بخمرهن على جيوبهن شققن مروطهن فاختمرن بها
"May Allah have mercy on the early immigrant women. When the verse 'and to draw their veils all over their chests' was revealed, they tore their thick outer garments and made veils from them."

Let us interpret this explicitly.

The Arabic word used at the end of that Hadith is فاختمرن (fakhtamarna). This comes from the exact same root as Khimar. It means they used the torn fabric to cover their heads and faces. They did not just wrap it around their waists or necks. They understood the native Arabic perfectly. Unfortunately, she does not understand.

The Prophet was alive and present when they did this. He watched them apply the verse. If covering the head was a cultural misunderstanding, he would have corrected them immediately. He did not.

In the science of Usul al-Fiqh, we have a binding rule that says:

لا يجوز تأخير البيان عن وقت الحاجة
"It is impermissible to delay clarification at the time of need."

The prophet (peace be upon him) is the champion of this principle. Since the Prophet saw them covering their heads in response to the verse and remained silent, his approval becomes a legal proof.

He did not say, "Oh wait, you misunderstood, Allah only meant the chest." He let their action stand as the correct application of the verse. This proves that the traditional understanding is the ONLY correct understanding.

Please do not allow people with ring lights and microphones confuse you about the basics of your faith. Knowledge is taken from classical scholarship, not from content creators who are trying to reinvent the religion to fit modern times.

He diligently followed through all the book back to back, some names mismatched, some spelling errors, some dates corrected and some identities tallied.

How VeryDarkMan urges Plateau youths to ‘restrategise, pick up arms and kill anyone they dont know

Popular Nigerian social media personality, Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has stirred controversy following a viral video in which he allegedly called on youths in Plateau to “restrategise” and take up arms against perceived strangers in their communities.

In the video, which has since circulated widely across social media platforms, the influencer was heard making statements interpreted as inciting violence amid the tense security situation in parts of Plateau State.

“Anybody you see that is not from here, anybody that looks suspicious, before they get you down, get them down!” he said.

He further urged residents not to rely on government intervention, saying: “If you keep quiet and wait for the government… it won’t be the first time, it won’t be the second time… when does this stop? You promise us security, but nobody is secure!”

The content creator also appeared to call for a shift from passive reactions to active confrontation, stating: “No be only Boko Haram sabi kill, no be only bandit sabi kill. All of us fit kill… all of us na Killers, until you ready. No ever to say you no get the mind. You fit kill person. You can kill people. And for these people oh my God.

He added: “Please protect yourselves and don’t wait for the government.”

He further called on the “To the people of Rukuba Enough is Enough, Enough is Enough. Anybody wey you see wey cross your part, KILL AM

However, few hour’s after his dangerous rhetoric and emotional outbursts violence quickly began to spread in the Northern part of Plateau. The same night, some youths of Rukuba went on rampage and began targeted killings especially in the Muslim communities.

Residents of Plateau have called on security agencies to investigate and possibly prosecute all those who made inflammatory comments widely perceived as inciting violence in the state.

63 ISWAP’s bodies recovered after failed attack on Malam Fatori

Troops of Sector 3 Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), supported by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), have recovered no fewer than 63 bodies of Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists following a failed infiltration attack on Malam Fatori in Abadam Local Government Area of Borno.

Military sources said the insurgents launched the attack in the early hours of Wednesday, advancing on foot and deploying armed drones in an attempt to overrun the 68 Battalion position.
