Normally, atomic force microscopy is used to characterize surfaces. But using a hard, diamond-coated tip, one can remove material layer by layer and look inside the material. We performed such tomography experiments on Cu(In,Ga)Se2 solar cell materials.

Do you want to learn about the present state of the art of "Thin-film micro-concentrator solar cells". Check out our new review article at: https://t.co/T670feA2Pq. Nice collaborative efforts between @INLnano, @ULResearch, and @ETSIDI_UPM
From an application of a 3rd year student: "My time in the scouts ... helped to know the difference between a leader and a boss". Would be great if all "leaders" in science knew the difference.
Check out our publication about passivation of grain boundaries in alkali-fluoride treated Cu(In,Ga)Se2 solar cells that was published today in Nature Communications: https://t.co/Gn5FLzi47p
Result of a great collaboration between @INLnano, @ZSW_BW, and Uni Parma.
INL in collaboration with FCT opened a call for 12phD's scholarships in the field of Quantum Science and Technology.
