🇬🇭🚨GHANA'S MOST FEARED POLICEMAN WHO WAS INVOLVED IN ONE OF THE MOST GREATEST GOLD ROBBERIES
There was a time in Ghana when one name alone could silence an entire neighborhood:
"Jack Bebli is coming!"
In places like Achimota, Taifa, Kingsby, and Neoplan, the mention of his name was enough to make people straighten up. Drivers became cautious, traders went quiet, and the streets suddenly felt different.
But who was Jack Bebli?
Starting as a dispatch rider in the Ghana Police Service's Motor Traffic Unit (MTU), Bebli climbed the ranks through discipline, toughness, and determination. He eventually became a Regimental Sergeant Major in the elite Panther (Commando) Unit, earning a reputation as one of the most powerful and feared law enforcement officers of the 1980s.
During the Rawlings era, he became known for enforcing law and order with an iron hand. While some praised him for bringing discipline and security to troubled communities, others accused him of using excessive force and intimidation.
For years, his authority seemed untouchable.
Then came a shocking twist.
In February 1999, armed robbers disguised in military uniforms attacked a bullion van near Apam Junction and escaped with several boxes of gold worth billions of old
Investigations later pointed to an unexpected mastermind-Jack Bebli.
Authorities alleged that he helped plan the operation ano provided logistical support, including the use of his vehicle, despite not being physically present during the robbery.
In 2001, he was convicted and sentenced to 15 years in prison alongside others involved.
His troubles didn't end there.
While serving time at Nsawam Prison, he appeared before the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC) in 2003, where several individuals accused him of torture, shootings, and abuse during his years in power. Bebli denied many of the allegations and claimed he could not recall some incidents.
During this period, he said he had turned to Christianity, changed his name from Jack to Paul, and sought forgiveness for past mistakes.
In May 2009, after complaining of chest pains while still incarcerated, he was rushed to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. He died shortly afterward.
Jack Bebli's life remains one of the most controversial stories in Ghana's history—a journey from feared law enforcer to convicted prisoner.
A man whose name once commanded fear across entire communities... only to end his days behind prison walls.

🚨🇬🇭Eeeeeeeei! Ajagurajah says if not for Otumfour Osei Tutu II like the Black Stars would have lost its game against Panama in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to him, Otumfour is the only one in Ghana with the power to change a prophecy, and that Ghana was destined to lose that match, but the King of the Ashanti Kingdom altered things for the country.
“Look in Ghana, Otumfour can change prophecy. You people didn’t watch the video eh? Look at what the man had done with his hands while watching the game. If not for him, they would have scored us with that kind of rubbish football we were playing. As for me, I didn’t watch that game but with how we were playing, it was clearly rubbish. Go and watch that video of Otumfour at that game and see how he had formed a triangular shape with his hands” - He’s heard saying in a video.
