We’re delighted to share that the landmark letting of 4 Angel Square to @BNYglobal has been shortlisted for Office Deal of the Year at the @Estates_Gazette Awards 2025, with our agents @Colliers and @JLL recognised for their role in the transaction 👏

The letting was the largest regional office deal across the UK’s Big 6 cities since 2020 and marked a huge vote of confidence in Manchester as a global business hub.

Congratulations to everyone involved – and best of luck to Colliers and JLL at the awards ceremony in November!

This weekend, catch sight of an uplifting installation paying homage to Manchester’s visionary, James Sadler, known for launching Manchester’s first ever manned balloon flight on 12 May 1785, a stone's throw away from Sadler’s Yard.

Sadler’s Yard is made for the people of Manchester, inspired by James Sadler himself – a self-taught working-class hero.

The installation is open now in Sadler’s Yard until Monday. As well as enjoying the display, bring the family and experience a day of free drop-in activities by @PLANT_MCR – from sunflower seed sowing to making earwig hotels, you’ll find them in the Floral Marquee on New Cathedral Street.

We’re nominated for not one but two awards at one of the most prestigious commercial property awards. @FederatedHermes and MEPC’s projects at NOMA are in the running for Outstanding Placemaking and Office Deal of the Year.

Why were we shortlisted?

✅ Delivered exceptional performance in the office sector through strategic innovation and industry impact. Most notably, letting the pioneering new office building 4 Angel Square to @BNYglobal - the largest “Big 6” regional city deal since 2020!

✅ Made a significant change with groundbreaking placemaking initiatives, turning an underdeveloped area of Manchester city centre into a vibrant neighbourhood with new homes, offices, restaurants and amenities. We also launched Altogether Otherwise – a social impact-led project which is the city’s first and only hobby house.

Together We Rise – a celebration of the bold spirit of innovation 🎈

We’re excited to have teamed up with illustrator Beth Travers of @BOBO_1325 and @MaterialSource to bring the story of English innovator, James Sadler, vividly back to life, celebrating 10 years since Sadler’s Yard was named by the people of Manchester.

Through a year-long project, Together We Rise will unveil a series of hand-painted artworks. You can also expect:

🚶‍♀️ Alternative walking tours led by Hayley Flynn @chair_riot
🎭 Art installations, from murals to printed fabric and furniture, around NOMA

Blossom season 🌸

It’s our favourite time of the year when Manchester’s blossom trees are out in full force, brightening up our beautiful city.

In partnership with the @nationaltrust and @NTCastleDuct, we’re celebrating the joy of blossom with the return of the Bloomtown trail.

Featuring over 40 floral hotspots around Greater Manchester, the trail takes you on journey (as long or as short as you like!) to spot blossom.

Download the map from the National Trust’s website or grab a paper copy from Sadler’s Yard, NOMA, which features on the route.

The trail runs until 30 June. Happy blossom hunting!

What a day! Our Farmers’ Market was a huge success – from seasonal vegetables and freshly baked sourdough to homemade preserves and hot sauce, everything was snapped up by happy customers. With the sun shining, a soundtrack of live music and, of course, lots of food and drink, it was the perfect Sunday.

A huge thanks to all our partners and stallholders, and everyone who came down and enjoyed a day celebrating the season of sowing and growing with us 🧡
