Kendra is a Registered Social Worker in the Brooks RCMP Community Policing Unit, and handles all things crime prevention, community safety, and officer engagement! All our social media is a small but important part of that!

This year was another nail-biter at first, but the Red Team (Fire + EMS) pulled ahead and won the game this year- taking last year's trophy back from the Blue Team (RCMP + Peace Officers)! 😄

The family and friends of all our cadets, along with RCMP officers, dignitaries, and other officers all attended the grad ceremony to celebrate our incredible 2023 cadets! 😄

DAY 3 of the Brooks Youth Police Academy! 🤩 Today was the best day yet- cadets swapped roles today and got to be the officers! They learned about fingerprinting, arresting, traffic stops, RCMP Core Values, and some of our officers even ended up getting handcuffed! 😂

DAY 2 of the Brooks Youth Police Academy! 😃 Today was another great day with our amazing troop! Cadets learned how to march, did physical training, and got to try out the breathalyzer and ‘drunk gogges’! They learned about impaired driving, mental health, and the Criminal Code!

DAY 1 of the 2023 Brooks Youth Police Academy! 🤩 Today was so much fun- our cadets did drill, blood spatter analysis, firearms, and learned about the different enforcement careers! We even had a visit from RCMP Supt. Nichols and S/Sgt. Charles to address the cadets! 👍

#throwback to the Summer Kick Off Party at Brooks Junior High School! 🤩

The youth challenged our local RCMP Officers to a relay race, and they took it very seriously as you can see! 😂

#throwback to when some of our local officers got to meet a Miss Universe Canada contestant raised right here in Brooks! 😄

Viktoriya Kornishyna was born in the city of Poltava, Ukraine, and was raised right here in Brooks, Alberta! 👍

She moved with her family when she was four years old and has been in Canada for 14 years. Viktoriya wants to be Miss Universe Canada to show young people that they are worth so much more than the opinions of society.
