Safeblock Squad is a set of individuals working together for the purpose of promoting and supporting firewall as one unit, with different talents in one place.

✓ Rollups often rely on this sequencer to build applications

✓ It is developed based on the reth client and is already running, securing the testnet.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

Firewall is creating a safe zone in the online space, which we can call safe blockspace, to all rollup programs.

The safe sequencer is the key to ensuring that this will become a reality just as @iamoptmstc has revealed.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

In the future, it is all about speed and safety. Sequencer is sweeping exploits away in the open,

verifiable and non-custodial way - and therefore no one has their assets ever seized.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

That’s how you ship fast, stay permissionless, and actually protect users.

Real DeFi doesn’t need training wheels... it needs a firewall.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

DeFi lost another $8.4M in September as @iamoptmstc explained.

That was Bunni V2, drained because liquidity math was off by one line.

Audits missed it, team shut the project down.

Then, @UseFirewall replayed the exact exploit on Base testnet, and... it succeeded.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

On Firewall’s testnet with Charmander AI running in the execution client, it was instantly blocked at runtime.

Zero code changes, zero permission.
Security moved to infrastructure.

@hantengri meh, I'd argue Sui had one major contribution, successfully killing the bullshit narrative that the MoveVM is "safe", when every single dollar on the chain was drained in the 9 figs Cetus hack in May 2025

imo that was well worth the project's existence

Sam (my co-founder) ahead of the curve, particularly wrt DeFi, measurably by 3 years in this case.

one lesson I learned from my own experience being "too early" is it's equally about timing and belief, you have a vision and you feel the timing is on? pursue it

do not shrink your own intelligence by asking for permission or acceptance from others. Easier said than done when it comes to defi though, as in this case

Sam designed a better system to return more value to LPs and make arbitrage more efficient, 3 yrs later Uniswap comes out with the exact same design (and presents it as their own btw, nothing new there)

Primitive chose not to launch his implemented product, probably b/c the cost associated, financially but also reputationally (one hack and your brand is dead), was not worth the risk to them, and they cannot be blamed for that

see in defi you have a very limited number of shots on goal, and you must spend them carefully. That alone corrupts the cycle to finding PMF

so innovation is shelved, all that effort dries up and dies, people lose motivation. It's a terrible cycle that unveils the reason defi is stuck, and it all boils down to smart contract risk

my next piece will touch on this deeper, but the ugly truth is building defi is not permissionless. Sure anyone can technically deploy a contract, but to get users you need minimally $50K in audits

and that's just to launch, ever heard of product iteration? oh you want to tweak features based on user feedback to find PMF? that's another $50K per change, and hence it does NOT happen. I've seen @lex_node touch on this before too

these insights were part of the spark that the system design of smart contract networks make no sense and must evolve, as we are real defi builders and users (alongside the fact billions in dollars are stolen a year)

overall, safe blockspace and our philosophy is brought to reality with the lessons learned from our successes sure, but equally are "almost great" accomplishments, which leave a disgusting taste in the mouth

call it ego idk, and idgaf either, but we will force change as we see it because we are correct

the timing is right, the vision is real, there are immense chips on our shoulders, and we make it happen @UseFirewall

Essentially, it gives you a more secure and reliable experience

when interacting with decentralized finance.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

Do you know what the Firewall security infrastructure means for a day-to-day user?

@iamoptmstc made us understand that the main benefit is safety and reliability when you use decentralized apps (dApps) like lending or trading platforms.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

You Don't Notice It:

You, the user, don't have to do anything extra.

The security operates behind the scenes at the network level,

ensuring that the dApps you use are inherently safer and more trustworthy.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

Safe code is not just important,

- it is the law in digital world.

And you might as well lose your assets if the code isn't secure

which is why Safe code was created to protect users rights and assets.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

In @iamoptmstc words, he gave reasons why Safe code is important.

Some of which are concerning

the ability to control how people use financial or should I say money systems.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

Malicious transactions, hacks, or exploits get nuked before any damage can spread.

Everything runs on-chain, fully transparent, auditable, and trustless

@UseFirewall delivers the proactive, unbreakable trust layer Web3 has always needed.

Always remember that.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

its obvious that Firewall is Web3’s Smart Bodyguard

Every transaction is monitored in real-time by the safe sequencer, which detects anomalies the instant they occur.

If a bad move is detected, it’s instantly wiped from the chain.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

This approach aligns blockchain rules with social consensus, prevents theft, and allows DeFi to grow safely.

Better code means better protection for users and the system.

>> Get into the article.

[Safe Block Squåd @Safeblocksquad]

let's remember this.

“Code is Law” is true in DeFi,

but the current code and system are broken.

@iamoptmstc made us understand.
