So important and interesting because so often stalking on board is not called out for what it is. Behaviours like repeatedly calling someone's cabin, waiting for them every night after a watch, keeping track of their movements, would quickly be classified as stalking on land.

Shocking levels of abuse and harassment faced by female seafarers have emerged in new French research reported in the International Maritime Health journal which has revealed 'alarming' levels of physical and verbal aggression and sexual harassment of women seafarers. The report on the findings calls for the industry to give improved information on procedures for reporting problems.
