Clear case of criminal intimidation. NC filed at R.A.K. Marg Police Station. @MumbaiPolice must take precautions to protect the activist.

🚨 Regarding attack on Chetan Kalal for reporting illegal car washing business in Mumbai's Dadar area.
Some facts for people and @MumbaiPolice below👇🏼

• One of the attacker Deepak Chougule was produced before the Sessions Court yesterday.

• Astonishingly, Mumbai Police sought only 2 days of police custody.

• How is the police confident of completing the investigation in 48 hours to the extent of the role of Accused no. 1 Deepak Chougule & gather evidence too, when other attackers are still absconding and not even named in the FIR?

• A relative of the accused, residing in the same society as Chetan Kamble, is allegedly threatening his family members, friends, neighbours and potential witnesses.

• This points to a failure in investigation and witness protection, creating fear instead of confidence among citizens who want to come forward.

• Looking at the present facts of the case, we urge @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice to transfer this matter to the Crime Branch for a thorough and impartial investigation.

• No social worker or citizen should be attacked for working for society.

• Citizens must feel safe and secure, not intimidated by goons.

• Social Worker/Citizen Actvist Chetan Kamble was represented by Our Founder, Adv. Trivankumar Karnani (@trivan205), who appeared for the Victim before the Hon’ble Sessions Court yesterday and prayed to extend the remand of the accused to inter alia unearth the motive of the crime & for recovery of weapons used.

The remand was extended.
