E-scooters are changing urban travel with a flexible, affordable way to get around — but they still require care & responsibility.
Ride predictably. Wear a helmet. Slow down near pedestrians & intersections. Stay alert & visible.
Safe riding keeps streets safer for everyone.
A child riding an e-scooter at 30 km/h isn’t the same as a child on a kick scooter.
Today’s e-scooters can reach motor-vehicle speeds, yet many youth ride without helmets or understanding traffic risks. Hospitals are seeing more serious injuries.
Speed matters. Helmets matter.
