Remembering Shaheed Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti on his martyrdom anniversary.
A man of principle, courage and conviction who stood by his people until the end. His sacrifice remains deeply remembered in the hearts of the Baloch nation.

The assassination of Master Inayatullah Jatak, father of Asma Jatak, is not just another killing, it is a stark exposure of state barbarism in Balochistan, where death squads operate freely under the direct patronage of the #Pakistani Army and their political facilitators.
Zahoor Jamalzai and his brother are widely known to be the right-hand men of the puppet former Chief Minister, Sardar Sanaullah Zehri. This is not a coincidence, it is how the system of impunity in #Balochistan is designed to function.
Since Zahoor Jamalzai's abduction of Asma Jatak in February 2024, he has never once been arrested. He has continued to threaten her and her family openly and today, that threat has turned into the murder of her father. This is what "justice" looks like under occupation.
The thugs of the state will never stop preying on the Baloch public as long as they are shielded, protected, and allowed to act with complete impunity. Every institution meant to protect citizens has instead become a tool of their oppression.
Baloch women and children deserve to live with dignity, safety and freedom not fear. And that day will only come with the complete independence of #Balochistan.

As a colleague, fellow politician and friend, I remember Dr. Deen Muhammad Baloch with deep respect and admiration. A dedicated medical officer and a central leader of the Baloch national movement, he devoted his life to serving both his patients and his nation.
On 28 June, it will mark 17 years since the State of Pakistan forcibly disappeared him while he was on duty at the hospital in Ornach, Khuzdar. Seventeen years later, his whereabouts remain unknown. While Pakistan may have disappeared Dr. Deen Muhammad Baloch, it has not erased the ideals and principles he stood for ideals that continue to inspire many.
I respectfully call upon the international community and human rights organizations to press for truth, justice and accountability regarding the enforced disappearance of Dr. Deen Muhammad Baloch and other disappeared Balochs who have suffered the same fate. His family deserves answers and Pakistan must be held accountable for human rights abuses in Balochistan.

“اگر میرے شوہر کو مار دیا گیا ہے یا وہ زندہ ہیں، جب تک مجھے انکے متعلق کوئی خبر نہیں ملتی، میں انکے لئے انتظار میں بیٹھی ہوئی ہوں
مجھے اور کوئی خوشی نہیں چاہئے، میں نے اپنی زندگی اپنے شوہر کے لئے قربان کیا ہے، مجھے انکے بغیر کوئی زندگی عزیز نہیں”

At the time of his disappearance, his daughters Sammi Deen and Mehlab Baloch were seven and ten years respectively. Today, they have the same questions they had 17 years ago.
Deen Muhammad’s case is not isolated; families across Pakistan await answers as their loved ones remain forcibly disappeared for months, years, and decades.
Amnesty International joins Deen Muhammad’s family in demanding that the Pakistani authorities reveal his fate and whereabouts, along with the fate of all those forcibly disappeared. Further, a thorough, transparent, and independent investigation must be conducted to hold those responsible accountable.
