Niqabis respond- Too cool to be oppressed!

Meet these three niqabi women in Manchester: Nazma, Maryam and Aisha. All born and brought up in the UK, they all wear the niqab out of their own choice.

They were asked to take part in an interview following the Niqabi/burqa bashing debate online, and they responded.

"Quite frankly, we are fed up of having to defend ourselves and our basic right to dress the way we want, everytime people choose to attack it.

"So instead of responding in defence, we have chosen to respond by showing a glimpse of the true representation of Niqabi women.

"We are professionals, intellectuals, educated, educators, hikers and taekwondo competitors. We don't just talk the talk, we walk the walk. We integrate in society being either employed or self employed, paying our taxes, and contribute to the wider society of Muslims and non Muslims alike, WITH our niqabs on.

"We are strong, independent women. We drive convertibles, deliver lectures in universities and lead women's hiking groups reaching summits (something you should do instead of Niqabi- bashing online).

"We are successful in this worldly life and we aim to be successful in the next life too, by pleasing our Creator, insha'Allah.

"Do not try to steal our voice and choices of living. You oppress us when you dictate how we should dress. We are more than capable to speak up for ourselves."

@FitbitSupport Thanks but I had figured that out! The issue is about the page looking bland and similar. Titles eg Activity, Food etc are hardly visible when scrolling, no separate colour scheme or borders, the eye can't latch on anything to know when to stop scrolling.
