But you will save even more lives.

Decades of data has shown that at the societal level, far more people are hurt than helped from unnecessary scans.

@tastybits A certain percentage of asymptomatic patients will show something suspicious. At that point "just keep an eye on it" is not an option.

Any further testing wastes money.

It often results in biopsies which have a low, but non-zero probability of very serious complications.

If he is low or middle income with a bunch of kids, there are no assets to split.

If he is high income, he has the brains and lawyers to structure assets to keep them from her.
