@KevinPetker @tidalwaverpg Sure, that also would've worked. They boil down to the same, except you either use (very simple) math to get the mod, or use math to get the defense. But hey, !TRADITION!, right?

@KevinPetker @tidalwaverpg A very minor point, but there is a valid reason why stats work that way. The score itself is sometimes used as a defense/TN. For example, "Will 12" does mean a +2 bonus to Will rolls, but also mind-affecting attacks use the number 12 as their AC-equivalent.
