She entered the Care Center with multiple previous bite/scratch incidents. While she has been in the Care Center, Midnight has been quick to escalate to lunging, hissing, and swatting. The behaviors she has been displaying in care have made it increasingly difficult to clean and have successful interactions. It is in Midnight’s best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable, low-traffic home environment with an experienced adopter. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥

Midnight is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. 😿🙏😿🙏😿🙏

She is now displaying signs of overstimulation. “DETERIORATING IN THE ADOPTIONS ROOM” IS OFTEN A DEATH SENTENCE IN SHELTER. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥

What my friends at ACC say about me: I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home! Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! Princess Nina tolerates attention and petting when well fed but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter and can act aggressively when very hungry as a result of a medical condition. Until her illness is controlled we suggest that she be fed before handling is attempted or whenever handling is going to be attempted when she is very vocal or appears to be aroused or upset. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents who are well counseled in her medical concerns and the need to get her hyperthyroidism under control. A volunteer writes: Princess Nina, owned since kittenhood, became very unhappy when another female cat was brought in to share her life. She acted up toward the "intruder" and even started to soil (something she does not do at the care center). Princess Nina was therefore brought to us in order to find her a new place to live. A tall order when a cat is fourteen year old, has an untreated known thyroid condition and has even the beginning of kidney disease. Princess Nina is a sweet gal and we will try our best to help her....She is a pretty kitty, semi long hair, matted, all ebony dame, very welcoming, friendly and enjoying attention and petting.. Princess Nina is super thin and as hungry as a bear. The thyroid medicine will soon do its job, relax her, lessen her appetite and promote some weight gain !Lovely Princess Nina needs a home sweet home, may be low traffic, without other cats or pets and an understanding new owner who likes seniors who quite often come with medical issues. Princess Nina would love to meet you and be your four legged best friend! ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻
