Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 – 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 – 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 – 2000).

A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family. Dolly Parton’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. With a seven-decade career, she inspired multiple generations of artists and fans with her music and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.

The saying is not wrong. True Christianity does not spread hate.
However, we are facing a real challenge: significant numbers of Muslims who openly want to reshape this country according to their own religious and political vision. Muslims are free to live here and practice their faith. What they are not free to do is govern us or transform our laws, culture, and system into something that no longer reflects the country we are.

A Metro Detroit church put up a sign saying “Muslims Are Not Our Enemies, Hate Is The Enemy” after protests in Dearborn.

Meanwhile, in much of the Muslim world, Christians face a very different reality.

Many of the most dangerous countries for Christians are Muslim-majority. Somalia, Yemen, Sudan, Syria, Nigeria, Pakistan, Libya, Iran, and Afghanistan. Last year alone, nearly 5,000 Christians were k*lled for their faith

Blasphemy laws in countries like Pakistan can bring the d*ath penalty. Apostasy (leaving Islam) is punishable by d*ath in several Muslim nations. Christian girls are routinely kidnapped and forced into marriage and conversion. Churches are burned and converts are hunted down.

Calling concern “hate” doesn’t change the fact that in large parts of the Islamic world, Christians live under constant threat. This sign IGNORES that reality.
