Y’ALL GOT THIS, AND THANK YOU!!! #jojo_anime#SteelBallRun
I don’t have an issue with criticism or wanting the bleach episode to be better, but it annoys me when people straight up lie. Some people talk about Hado 99 like it was an insanely hype moment in the manga when it flat out wasn’t
@JoyBoyTheories I got no issues with theory crafting, but I dislike how people speak with certainty about the story
“Thematically it’s the only thing that makes sense”. The story has gone into so many directions that we never expected. Everything can make sense, why limit your imagination?
My issue with canon movies is that the original stories weren’t designed to fit into 2 hours.
Chainsaw Man and Haikyu both had canon movies, but one managed to fit everything from the manga, while the other had to cut content . We’ll see what happens with God Valley
This is totally a personal thing, but I'm slightly disappointed that One Piece is following the success of Kimetsu no Yaiba by having movies adapt material already previously shown in the manga. I know it's the successful formula recently and it's what sells, but I've always enjoyed that OP films tried to do their own thing.
I also know a lot of people were frustrated with films being non-canon and only having minor canon reveals along the way while everything else didn't realistically matter to the story, so this makes sense. But to me it was always fascinating to see new settings, new characters, and never really knowing where the movie was gonna go. Even if non-canon, that aspect of unknown was always magical and made each movie a treat, even when the execution failed!
While I'm sure Film God Valley will be insane for anime only viewers (as the Kimetsu films were for me), knowing absolutely everything that will happen in the film's plot beforehand I think makes me feel a bit less hyped for it, as I feel I''ll mostly be there for the sakuga aspect (which no doubt will be insane and I'm really excited for still). Had this movie released before the flashback did in the manga that'd be a different story, but I totally understand why that's not very viable for them to do.
Don't get me wrong though! I do really enjoy watching anime in cinemas even when I know the story beforehand, as I think those emotions still really hit (it definitely beats watching it on your laptop). But I'm just saying I personally prefer it when I don't know where the story will go either. I'm sure this probably varies a lot depending on your own personal tolerance of spoilers, but I've always been someone who prefers to not be spoiled, while I know other people instead really don't mind being spoiled beforehand.
Now, I assume by the title that One Piece Film BAAD might try to be in line with the old OP Films to appease both kinds of fans (unless it's trying to adapt the next arc in the manga or whatever, who knows), so that's cool! But the 2029 date will make the 7 year wait between Film RED all the more long 😭
Eitherway, as always you know I will book a flight to be there on launch night no matter what! But what do you think? Do you prefer an adaptation of previous content or do you like me also value haivng a new story? Let me know!
People have been asking for a God Valley movie for years, but that was under the assumption that it wouldn’t be in the main story (idk why people thought that). One Piece being seasonal opens up so many more opportunities for movies. I just wonder what’ll happen to the anime
They’ve been playing this soundtrack (Luffy, To Victory) throughout the One Piece Day event. It was used in episode 905 Luffy’s red hawk vs Holdem #ONEPIECEDAY

TCB (unofficial): Imu and Gaban acknowledging each other’s strength despite their age, with a possible double meaning suggesting that Imu was part of Joyboy’s crew
VIZ (official): Imu is also determined to believe that Luffy is Joyboy. He wants / is afraid of this
