@Dave29878987 There is nothing to defend. You can either afford it or you can’t. It’s a fact of life. Saints did it in reverse in 2006. Went to Catalan the week before Wembley. Probably happened to other teams too. Some families are more fortunate than others.
@IlkleyJohn@jabberwock951 Because the guy died which suggests excessive force used. This suspect was detained, charged, no injuries which suggests the force used was justified in the circumstances. Which is legal under common law.
@VoteGreenNorth@TrainerBert Guess you don’t know police protocol or the law regarding use of reasonable force but thought you would post something about something you clearly don’t have much clue on.
@njay_m4@NormanBrennan Is that from your personal experience and knowledge of dealing with these type of situations. One officer has a taser no free hands. If the second officer draws a baton he then has no free hands to seize the arm/hand carrying the knife.
@FacileTalk@mudhutter 40 years ago. Don’t you mean nearly 100 years ago. Pie eaters arose from strikes nearly 100 years ago not the 1984 Thatcher strikes.
@samanthagard2@StevenJonMiller@Marinajfj What is an ordinary pensioner? Why pick out civil servants, public sector. I have paid in forty years. I have a private pension from public sector which I paid into. Are you saying I should be penalised having made the same contributions as others?
@Artemisapphire@Tinebobagain@dougiebrimson I paid NI because I didn’t have a choice. Yes I live in a very mixed society, some who have been more responsible than others. By the way I still pay my taxes, so I am still contributing to others who are less fortunate.
@Artemisapphire@Tinebobagain@dougiebrimson That’s the rules not mine. If the rules say so then yes I do. I’ve contributed to a private pension to help me out in older age not to lose my state pension.
@Artemisapphire@Tinebobagain@dougiebrimson That’s funny, cos all my working life I paid NI for the pensioners at the time, no questions asked. I’ve been fortunate to get a private pension but also believe I am entitled to a state pension as per rules / guidelines. Why should it now be means tested? When govt’s have failed
@db_fink @jayemdee63 So you are also part of the problem. Not living here, putting your money into another country but at the same time want to have a say about what’s happening here.
@jamesinsurrey@FA03082@TheFishSkipper@realhansard So it can be done then. Pass on your expertise to those that want everything on a silver platter. I have three children two of whom have recently bought their own homes. It can be done.
@dontforgetchaos@StarbucksUK Some are Starbucks own and some are franchises I believe. You can’t use apps in franchises. This is also the case in Costa’s.
@shivmalik I bought and sold houses in accordance with the wage I was earning at the time. I didn’t go out and buy something I couldn’t afford. My first house had a mortgage with over a 10% interest rate. It’s life cycles.
@WembysBackup@HermeticHaven@Jenny_1884 I have three children two of whom worked and have saved and bought their own homes in recent years. So I presume you can. No fuss from me. Just annoyed at being told I’ve had it easy when I’ve worked hard for what I’ve got.
@HermeticHaven@Jenny_1884 And you sound like a spoilt brat wanting everything handed to you on a silver plate. If I couldn’t afford it I saved for it. I never had a credit card that I maxed out because I didn’t want the debt. The only debt I had was a mortgage that was over 10% interest rate.
@dstephenh99 @HeatherBo63 And the younger generations answer to the problem is blame the bloomers. That’s why people are annoyed. They are pointing the blame finger at the wrong people.
