Spire sweep for the 4th year in a row at the KCAC Track & Field Championships last night! The women their 4th straight title with a whopping 220 points, completing back-to-back KCAC Triple Crown's. The men won their 5th straight title with 179 points!

ALL-AMERICAN 💫 Senior Luis Perez capped off a stellar career with a 6th place finish in the 1500m at the NAIA T&F Championships, running 3:48.33, a new school record! From nearby Liberty North HS in Missouri, Perez earned a total of 6 All-American honors during his time at USM.

Nationals Bound! 💫 22 athletes and 4 coaches are on their way to Marion, IN for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, May 21-23. The Spires have athletes qualified in 10 different events: 100m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3kSC, 5k, 10k, 4x1, 4x4, and 4x8.

Record breaking weekend at the Concordia Twilight meet in Seward, NE. Keely Barnard broke her own record in the Javelin with 40.02m. Nolan Norberto broke the Shot Put school record, throwing 15.75m. Luis Perez dropped a second off his own record, running 1:50.80 in the 800m.

Coming out of nearby West Platte high school with PR’s of 12.81, 27.92, and 1:07.22 – Gretchen is now the owner of every sprinting event school record at USM, dropping her personal bests down to 11.68, 24.35, and 56.58 during her four year career as a Spire.

Huge congratulations to senior Gretchen Raney for being named the Track Athlete of the Meet at last weekend’s KCAC outdoor T&F Championships, scoring a total of 29.5 points for the Spires, leading them to a runner-up finish as a team!

The NAIA Championships came and went over the weekend, and Kansas programs shined from start to finish, notching 17 All-American performances in total.

@SaintMaryXCTF was the highest-finishing Kansas program on either side, with the men placing eighth and the women placing 19th.

All-Conference 💫 Highlighting our top-3 placers from this past weekend’s KCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The ladies brought home 25 conference medals on their way to a championship 3-peat! The guys brought home 18 conference medals on their way to a 3rd place finish.

The University of Saint Mary Women’s Indoor Track & Field team brings home the KCAC Championship. The Spires scored an impressive 198.50 points to claim triumph and will now prepare for NAIA Nationals starting February 27th in Gainesville, Florida.
