In December, our Month of Hope campaign raised an incredible £2,400 for East Lancashire Hospice.
Today, students from winning house Truro visited to see how their efforts will make a real difference.
Yesterday, our academy attended the Holocaust Memorial Day service at Blackburn Cathedral. With the 2026 theme Bridging Generations, students reflected on the importance of remembrance.

As part of our Month of Hope campaign, Sixth Form students donated essential items to support people experiencing homelessness in Blackburn. Lisa from Community Spirit visited the academy to collect the donations, which will make a meaningful difference in our local community.
On Wednesday morning, David Binns, Director of UK Operations at @SanakoOy, spoke to our Year 9 students about the role of modern foreign languages in the workplace, sharing insights into career pathways and the opportunities languages can offer.

GCSE RESULTS DAY + SIXTH FORM ENROLMENT
Results can be collected from 8:30am in E Block - please use the external entrance (around the back of Sixth Form).
Sixth Form enrolment will also take place in E Block.
A-LEVEL RESULTS DAY
Congratulations to all our A-Level students receiving results today - our overall pass rate has risen to 98% for the challenging A-Level courses with many subjects achieving 100%. Well done to those with outstanding individual results too - here's just a few!

We recently got to celebrate the wealth of culture that is represented by the students and staff at St Wilfrid's. It was an incredible two days full of activities, local-culture-inspired lessons, guest speakers, talent sharing and stunning garments!

We had the best time last night celebrating our Year 11 students at their Prom. Big thanks to Barton Manor for hosting us. More photos from the night will be put in the yearbook, which will be given out on Results Day.
