"To the aviary. Let's go write that letter. While we walk, how about you tell me about yourself, little witch?"

(Deanreldy sends a curious look Qifrey's way.)

"Earlier you mentioned an ocean. Is that where you live? On an island?"

(Kids and their tendency to ignore manners, ah, what exactly did Beldaruit teach him? Deanreldy wondered. At least Qifrey wasn't outright disrespectful.)

"Just make a simple snack,"

(Deanreldy laughs, light and melodic but nowhere near mocking the discomfort Qifrey was currently expressing.)

"It should take an hour or so, give or take."

(He hummed as they continued to make their way. It took quite a bit of walking, but Deanreldy eventually led Qifrey to the kitchen. The chefs immediately perked up at his arrival, but Deanreldy kept his attention mostly on Qifrey.) +
