Watching this video of the Jet Airways is saddening.. flown this B777 to several places . Often on the Mumbai London and Mumbai Singapore route. Probably one of the best airlines of the country and one that will be missed by frequent flyers dearly!
@IndianTechGuide Truly it's a saddest departure and the 9w legacy and it's goodwill gesture never gonna be replaced or no one will gonna achieve. 9w they must have a come back but the system...
🚨 A former Jet Airways Boeing 777-300ER, which had been parked at Mumbai Airport since the airline suspended operations in 2019, has taken off from Mumbai for the last time.
Jet Airways used to be one of India’s best airlines. 🛫

Boarding Jet Airways Boeing 737-85R, VT-JNJ (MSN 29038) at Chikkalthana airport, Aurangabad (IXU) for Delhi (DEL).
A very convenient early morning rotation which seved me well for years. Now, only memories remain️
This aircraft was delivered new to Jet Airways in June 1999 and stayed in the fleet till 2013 when it was transferred to Ukraine International Airlines as UR-PSG. It was retired in 2022 and broken up at Tarbes, France.

I’m Not Sure If It’s Just Nostalgia Getting the Better of Me, But Man, the Jet Airways Livery Flying Off in Mumbai’s Typical Monsoon-Esque Weather Today Took Me Straight Back to the 2010s! 🥲🇮🇳

Blast from the past...
A flock of Blue and yellow tails docked at the gates was a familiar sight at any time of day at IGI Terminal 3, Delhi.
Seen in the foreground is Boeing 737-85R, VT- JGV (MSN 34803). Originally delivered to Jet Airways on March 15, 2007, this particular aircraft sported a special Disney Channel promotional livery in 2013.
Following the operational shutdown of Jet Airways, the aircraft was reregistered as VT-SYZ and is currently operated by SpiceJet.

An iconic 9W widebody bids Mumbai farewell.
For years, Mumbai was at the heart of Jet Airways’ operations, and aircraft like the Boeing 777-300ER was a defining part of the city’s aviation landscape. Departing from #CSMIA, this former Jet Airways aircraft marks the end of a memorable era.
For many, this wasn’t just a departure. It was a goodbye to a beloved part of aviation, and a final glimpse of a familiar 9W silhouette from the airport it once called home.

The last 2 ex 9W 77Ws at BOM are now at AIESL facility for maintainance just like ex ex VT-JEM that left for TLV yesterday. Ex VT-JES on the left & ex VT-JEV on the right.
Seven years grounded. Back in the sky.
AIESL has successfully returned the ex-Jet Airways Boeing 777-300ER, formerly VT-JEM and now 2-TJEM, to full airworthiness at its Mumbai Base Maintenance facility. The aircraft has safely departed India and reached Tel Aviv.
This complex recovery reflects AIESL’s technical depth, meticulous planning and sustained engineering effort. It follows the recent restoration of B777, VT-ALL at Nagpur after six years on the ground and adds to nearly 15 challenging aircraft recovery and Return-to-Service projects completed for global lessors across AIESL bases.
From prolonged grounding to certified airworthiness—AIESL continues to deliver.
