Phakel’umthakathi commenting on his dispute with Nhlanhla Lux. He says he believes he has already done enough for South Africa that he shouldn't have to go around explaining himself or responding to everyone who talks about him.

He says that here in Soweto, there is a woman who had allegedly been suffering for more than nine months in this township, which some people claim belongs to certain individuals and not to Zulus like us.

Women approached me during Women's Month, speaking on behalf of another woman. I stood up as a man because I have always preached that we should be men who protect and look after women. I came here and was welcomed warmly. Young people came out, men came out, and everyone said they needed our help because the police and the station commander were allegedly working together with foreign nationals. They said this woman had gone to the police station many times but had not received help.

We arrived on the first day and held a meeting. On the second day, we issued a notice telling the foreign nationals to leave because they were allegedly causing problems for the community. One of foreign nationals then called a resident, which is Nhlanhla Lux, from Soweto.

It is alleged that he had taken money from them..;that he had received money from foreign nationals and caused a disturbance. But what we wanted to do was remove foreign nationals from the shop, and that is our success story. That's what we want to talk about.

We don't want to talk about someone who protested, caused a commotion and put on a show, but then turned around and ran away when he realised things were difficult and that this was not his home turf.

I continued and succeeded in removing foreign nationals, and I will continue. Next week, I will remove even more foreign nationals. I've even received requests from Pinville, his own township, asking me to come and remove foreign nationals who are allegedly occupying people's homes against their will. They will leave.
