9) PM Anutin, currently in New York for the UN General Assembly, dodged questions about Klatham potentially joining his coalition, playfully quipping: “The signal hasn’t arrived yet.”

Thamanat, meanwhile, is in Japan supporting Thai athletes at the Asian Games in his capacity as president of the Thailand Aquatics Association.

Netizens spotted Thamanat wearing the same model of a Casio watch as PM Anutin - complete with his name engraved on it. Klatham secretary-general Pai Lik then explained on Facebook the watch was personally gifted by Anutin: “Not a first-hand watch. Long story short: it was taken right off the wrist. That’s all.”
