A statement by the President of Religious Affairs Sheikh Abdul Rahman As Sudais:

His Excellency the President of Religious Affairs addresses frontline personnel and coalition forces: “Your steadfastness brings honour to the nation, your service is a great honour, and your sacrifices safeguard the security of the Two Holy Mosques.”

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds, who says in His clear revelation: “O you who believe, be patient, persevere, remain on guard, and fear Allah so that you may succeed.” May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his family, and all his companions.

To our brothers stationed on the front lines—the heroes of our armed forces and coalition forces—who demonstrate honour and sacrifice in defending their homelands, protecting the sacred sites, and safeguarding Masjid al-Haram, the Prophet’s Mosque, and those who visit them: we salute your sincere resolve, steadfastness, and tremendous sacrifices. We remind you of the honour of your service and the great trust and weighty responsibility you bear.

Those serving on the front lines: guarding the frontiers in the cause of Allah is among the noblest means of drawing closer to Him and the greatest acts of obedience. The Prophet ﷺ said: “A day spent guarding the frontiers in the cause of Allah is better than this world and all that is in it.” Seek Allah’s help, be patient and steadfast, purify your intentions, and take the necessary measures to maintain strength and vigilance. Know that your sacrifices in protecting your homelands and sacred sites are a source of pride, honour, and appreciation.

We urge you to fear Allah, remain united, listen and obey, adhere to instructions, and guard against division and disputes, in accordance with His words: “Do not dispute with one another, lest you lose courage and your strength depart. And be patient; indeed, Allah is with the patient.”

The security of the Two Holy Mosques and the safety of their visitors are a tremendous responsibility. Violating their sanctity is an assault upon the Muslim Ummah’s sacred sites and the feelings of all Muslims. The Houthi attacks on the holy places expose the falsehood of the slogans proclaimed by the aggressors and contradict the teachings of Islam and its objectives of preserving lives and protecting blood from being shed. These attacks will not weaken the Kingdom’s firm resolve to protect the Two Holy Mosques and safeguard their security and stability.

We greatly appreciate the tremendous efforts of our wise leadership—may Allah strengthen it—to protect the Kingdom and its sacred sites, safeguard Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet’s Mosque, and mobilise every available resource so that their visitors can worship in safety and tranquillity. We also commend the honourable actions and immense sacrifices of our armed forces and coalition forces in carrying out their duties.

We ask Allah to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince; to grant victory to our soldiers on the front lines, keep their feet firm, guide their aim, accept their martyrs, heal their wounded, and return them safely and victoriously to their families. We ask Him to preserve the security and tranquillity of the Two Holy Mosques, protect their visitors from all harm, and continue to bless our country with security, faith, honour, and stability.

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his family, and all his companions.

No ruler is above being advised when he is wrong. Islam commands us to be truthful and just, even towards those we disagree with. Allah says, “Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.” (Qur’an 5:8)

But Islam also teaches us how to advise those in authority. The people of knowledge and scholars who have access to MBS advise him directly, face to face, according to the Sunnah.

The Prophet peace be upon him
said regarding advising a ruler, Let him not do so publicly, but let him take him by the hand and be alone with him.” (Musnad Ahmad)

I try my best to live my every day life according to the teachings of islam and not according to my own desires or react base on my emotions.

I don’t need to use my platform to publicly bash any Muslim ruler to prove that I’m free, brave, or capable of telling the truth. There is a difference between sincere advice and publicly attacking, insulting, or stirring people against a Muslim ruler. If something is wrong, it’s wrong, and I have no problem acknowledging that. But I believe advice should be given according to the Islamic methodology, while also acknowledging the good when I see it.

I live in Saudi Arabia. I see the good with my own eyes, and I see the khair of the government firsthand. I don’t need outside media telling me what my reality is when I’m actually living it every day.

That isn’t fear, as I don’t fear no man breathing, This is me trying to follow the Qur’an and teachings of The Prophet Muhammad regardless of what country I’m living in. It’s easy for us to say we are Muslims, while it’s hard for us to abide by the tenants and teaching of Islam. Alhamdulillah Islam is complete with all its teachings and even advising the ruler have a methodology in Islam. This is why it’s very important for us to study and learn so that our actions are based on knowledge and not emotions or driven by politics.
