Please make duaa Allah grants me to complete it
A blameworthy habit that some of our brothers from Ahl al-Sunnah unfortunately fall into: constantly breaking appointments, poor communication, delaying people, treating promises casually, and failing to even apologize, excuse themselves, or follow up.
This is not fitting for a Muslim, let alone a student of knowledge!
Allah al-Mustaʿān
May Allāh reward you, the fact that you were able to acknowledge the valid points while still disagreeing with the harshness shows maturity, fairness, and sincerity in'shāʾAllāh. I agree, perhaps the tone could be less harsh, and I try to improve that in shāʾ Allāh.
But sometimes one feels strongly when the dīn of Allāh is spoken about casually and recklessly in ways that can mislead the youth and cause real harm and serious implications. And Allāh knows best how much ʿUthmān has already been advised privately and publicly by many brothers over the years.
May Allāh make us all better, purify our intentions, forgive our shortcomings, guide us all to the truth, and keep us firm upon it.
Subhān Allāh, what kind of fiqh saqīm is this?
Does ʿUthmān ibn Farooq seriously think that after over 1400 years of Islām, the Ummah was waiting for him to come along and make this “discovery” that the hadīth says “his brother,” and therefore striking a non-Muslim in the face is somehow free game? As if the scholars of Islām, the fuqahāʾ, the people of ḥadīth, the people of uṣūl never noticed the wording until he magically uncovered it?
The prohibition of striking the face is not restricted only to the Muslim. There are multiple aḥādīth that prohibit striking the face in a general, unrestricted manner! They come with wording that is muṭlaq and ʿāmm, covering whoever is struck, whether Muslim or non-Muslim.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“If one of you fights, let him avoid the face.”
And he (peace be upon him) said:
“If one of you strikes, let him avoid the face.”
And he (peace be upon him) said:
“If one of you strikes, let him avoid the face, for Allāh created Ādam upon His image.”
And he (peace be upon him) said:
“If one of you strikes, let him avoid the face, and let him not say: May Allāh disfigure your face.”
These narrations are all sahih, and are not restricted to “your Muslim brother.” They are general. They establish a broad prohibition against striking the face.
Not only that, but the prohibition even applies to animals!
It is narrated from Jābir that the Prophet (peace be upon him) passed by an animal that had been branded on its face, with smoke coming from its nostrils. The Prophet said:
“May Allāh curse the one who did this. None of you should touch the face or strike it.”
So if even an animal is not to be struck on the face, then how does someone come along and claim that if a human being is a non-Muslim, then his face is suddenly halāl to strike!? Subhān Allāh.
And what does that even mean practically? Are we now saying that any non-Muslim can be punched, slapped, or struck in the face just because of the fact that he is not Muslim?
Can people go around striking random non-Muslims in the street because “the hadīth only said brother”? Is this the kind of foolish logic being spread publicly?
The fuqahāʾ are agreed that the face is generally not to be struck. Consensus has been transmitted by scholars such as al-Qurṭubī, al-Jaṣṣāṣ, Ibn Qudāmah, al-Shawkānī, and others that striking the face is prohibited.
ʿUthmān needs to fear Allāh and know his limits. Not every person with a platform is qualified to speak in every matter. He has been making one blunder after another, spreading odd and outlandish verdicts that many layman may follow. And if people follow these reckless takes, then he must fear that their misguidance and harm will be placed on his scale of bad deeds until he retracts and repents from them.
Fame is a fitna. Ever since he has been increasingly involved with influencers, public figures, and online personalities, he seems to keep compromising or making some of the mindless takes in fiqh and fatāwā.
The religion is taken from the texts collectively, upon the understanding of the salaf, with uṣūl, .. and give me one legitimate scholar that ever preceded you with such a fatwa?
May Allāh guide us and protect the Muslims from speaking about His religion without knowledge.

ya @abu_kutub I am more beneficial to your shaykh than you and those who blindly defend him.
Abū Sālih al-Farrāʾ said: I narrated to Yūsuf ibn Asbāṭ something from Wakīʿ regarding the matter of the trials, so he said: “That resembles his teacher,” meaning al-Ḥasan ibn Ḥayy.
So I said to Yūsuf:
“Do you not fear that this may be backbiting?”
He said:
“Why, O fool? I am better for these people than their fathers and their mothers. I forbid the people from acting upon what they have newly introduced, lest their burdens of sin follow them. And whoever praises them is more harmful to them.”
Siyar Aʿlām al-Nubalāʾ by Imām al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Dhahabī, 7/362; and al-Ḍuʿafāʾ, 1/232.
The statements you brought do not prove what you think they prove. This is clearly in the context of legitimate fighting and under lawful combat against the enemies from the non-Muslims, not a blank check for organized recreational MMA or boxing, where two men willingly and voluntarily are entering a sport to punch each other in the face for entertainment, ego, or competition.
And this is where your confusion becomes obvious. You cannot even differentiate between the actual point of dispute and a side issue that nobody is even arguing about. Nobody is denying that the narration which mentions “his brother” is referring to the Muslim brother. The hadīth literally says “his brother.” That is not the dispute. The actual point is that this is not the only narration on the issue.
There are other aḥādīth that prohibit striking the face with general wording, without mentioning “brother”: These wordings are ʿāmm and muṭlaq. They are general and unrestricted. So taking one narration that mentions “his brother” and then acting as if all the other general narrations do not exist is a misuse of the texts and deception to the ummah.
So your egoistic response is wrong on multiple levels, and just shows that you either genuinely do not understand the point being disputed, or you are so fanatical in defending your shaykh that you are willing to justify any blunder instead of advising him and taking heed.
You are embarrassing yourself and embarrassing him. And then you want to call others arrogant? The arrogance is from those who defend every mistake and twist every criticism into “hating the shaykh.”
Sincere correction is more beneficial to him than blind followers who justify his blunders and help him persist upon reckless fatāwā. If Muslims follow this nonsense fatwā and enter MMA fights against non-Muslims thinking it is permissible to strike the face because the opponent is a kāfir, then who carries the burden for spreading that misunderstanding? And what about the harm caused to others through broken noses, head trauma, and bloody injuries?
And another obvious point, if a Muslim enters an MMA fight with a non-Muslim, will he not also be punched in the face? Will he not voluntarily place himself in a position where his own face is struck, his head is hit, his body is injured, and his blood may be spilled? So what is the ruling of voluntarily putting oneself in a situation where one is struck in the face, harmed, injured, and made to bleed for sport?
Is that also halāl now ya Fadīlat al-Shaykh al-ʿAllāmah Abū Kutub?
Fear Allāh and know your limits. Do not confuse legitimate combat with entertainment fighting. Do not misuse selective statements of scholars to justify modern MMA and boxing. And do not pretend that criticism of reckless fatāwā is hatred. Sometimes the one advising is more merciful to the person than the blind supporter who pushes him deeper into error. May Allah protect and guide us.

This book “A Brief History of al-Andalus from Beginning to End”, is among the best and most comprehensive works written on the history of al-Andalus.
It is authored by the noble Shaykh Dr. Tāhā ʿAbd al-Maqṣūd, may Allah preserve him — Professor of Islamic History and Islamic Civilization at the Faculty of Dār al-ʿUlūm, Cairo University, and Professor of Sīrah and History at al-Furqān Institute; under the supervision of our beloved Shaykh, al-ʿAllāmah Dr. Muḥammad ibn Saʿīd Raslān, may Allah preserve them.
The book is very beneficial in its field, and it covers numerous topics, such as:
The Islamic conquest of Spain
The era of the governors
The era of the Umayyad Emirate and the Umayyad Caliphate
The most prominent events during the period of conflict within the Emirate
The major trials and tribulations
The most important civilizational characteristics and features
The golden age of Islamic rule in al-Andalus
The entrance of the madhhab of Imām Mālik into al-Andalus
The Berber fitnah
The era of the Party-Kings
Al-Andalus under the rule of the Murābiṭūn and the Muwaḥḥidūn
The Kingdom of Granada
The ordeal of the Andalusian Moriscos
Geographical maps
The consequence of rebelling against the rulers
The creed of Ahl al-Sunnah and the righteous Salaf regarding rebellion against the rulers
The fall of al-Andalus
It is a comprehensive, scholarly, and enjoyable book, and covers many religious and Islamic aspects unlike many books on t his topic. May Allah place it in the scale of the noble Shaykh’s good deeds.
I advise Muslims to acquire it, especially students of knowledge. I also believe that if it were translated into Spanish and English, there would be tremendous good and great benefit in that.
May Allah preserve our scholars and allow us to benefit from their knowledge.

How much a man has been distracted from knowledge and from action .. by a woman who caused weakness to settle in his heart.
And the heart, when it becomes infatuated with the love of women, following after it,
its firm resolves are lost, and seriousness no longer remains settled.
So beware, may Allah protect you, lest desire overwhelms you,
until the path of your knowledge becomes held hostage.
And do not attach your perishing heart to her,
but make your attachment to Allah fortified.
For when the servant devotes his heart sincerely to his Lord,
He revives his resolves that had once become weak.
And remember the advice of the father, the eminent scholar,
Raslān, the muḥaddith of the Egyptian lands, and whoever understands.
The student of knowledge is devoted entirely to seeking,
nothing from the affairs of this worldly life competes with him in seeking knowledge, nor is it allowed to crowd it out.
No wife turns him away from the paths of loftiness,
no child, no worldly wealth, and no fame.
He seeks no status, nor any lowly share
from these contemptible affairs, if he truly seeks the heights.
So if this reminder has benefited you, then supplicate for its writer:

Original Arabic Poem attached below.
May Allah keep us steadfast.
✍️ Alḥamdulillāh, after years of work, my upcoming book OPERATION ARAB SPRING is finally near completion, inshā’Allāh. It’s one of the biggest and most important projects I’ve ever worked on — A raw, unapologetic unveiling of the hidden hands, the real agendas, and the brutal truths buried beneath the bloodshed of the so-called spontaneous Arab "revolutions" that shattered the Muslim world.
Between rejections and silence from multiple publishing houses in the US to publish my book due to ots content and certain words used, it became clear that i wont be able to have it published here, therefore I’ll be self-publishing it overseas — because the truth will be told, with or without their approval, and inshā’Allāh to be released at the upcoming Cairo International Book Fair 2026.
This is more than just a book. It's a thoroughly documented exposé. No wild theories, no fantasies — only hard truths and insidious documented plots and betrayals that many would rather keep buried.
I know that publishing this book will bring me trouble, but inshā’Allāh, I will still go forward with it. May Allah make it easy, grant me steadfastness, and bless me with a hijrah soon to the lands of Islam.
Afterward inshā’Allāh I'll focus on completing the Khawārij encyclopedia by Allah's permission.

Many brothers have reached out asking about the book, encouraging me to finish it, and kindly offering to financially support the work, and advised me to open a Patreon or something similar to help with the costs of research, editing, publishing, design, distribution, etc., and simply being able to dedicate the necessary time to complete this properly.
So I have now created a LaunchGood campaign, that has finally been approved, for those who would like to support, in it one may also support by pre-ordering a copy through the campaign:

A while back, I posted about this upcoming book Operation Arab Spring: Divide & Conquer, and I mentioned that I was hoping to complete it around that time. Unfortunately, due to many personal, financial, and practical challenges, I was not able to complete it as quickly as I had hoped.
Another major reason for the delay is that I had to wait and make sure certain final documents, pieces of evidence, and important materials that were being revealed recently would be included in the book. This is not the type of work I wanted to rush or publish incomplete, especially when new pieces were still emerging that directly strengthened and completed the larger picture.
I will also be traveling next month in'shāʾAllāh to gather some of the final pieces needed for this project, and from July until the end of the year, I intend to dedicate a major portion of my time to completing, organizing, editing, and finalizing the book properly, by the permission of Allah.
Alhamdulillāh, despite the delays and difficulties, the book is near completion. By the permission of Allah, I am hoping it can be finalized and published next year.
Any support whether through raising, sharing the campaign, making duʿāʾ, or simply helping spread awareness would very much be appreciated and would directly assist in bringing this project to completion.
In the next few months, I also plan to share a draft of the table of contents in shāʾ Allāh, while continuing to keep everyone updated on the progress, development, and content of the book as it moves closer to completion.
After this book is completed in'shāʾAllāh, I hope to finally focus on completing the rest of the Khawārij Encyclopedia volumes and the other unfinished books and research projects that have been on my list for years.
May Allah place barakah in this work, purify the intention behind it, make it sincerely for His sake, and allow it to benefit the Muslims, expose falsehood, clarify truth, and become a means of guidance and protection in a time of confusion.
Jazākum Allāhu khayran to everyone who has supported, encouraged, advised, and remained patient.
May Allah reward you all with good.
