@OnChainHoodies project’s core idea is elegantly simple yet technically ambitious.
Approximately 6,000 unique “Hoodies” form a permanent on-chain community. Each piece is hand-drawn in a distinctive 1-bit (black-and-white/green pixel) style and stored entirely on-chain, including artwork, metadata, rendering logic, and pixel data.
This “fully on-chain” approach means the collection does not rely on external storage like IPFS for permanence. Everything lives on the blockchain itself, making the assets verifiable, machine-readable, and resistant to link rot or platform dependency. The project is also released under a CC0 license, encouraging free use, remixing, and building.
The four neighbour archetypes give the collection its personality:
Builders : the creators and developers
Collectors : those who carefully curate
Flippers : the traders chasing momentum
HODLers : the long-term believers
These familiar faces from the on-chain world turn the collection into a cultural mirror of Web3 itself.
OnChainHoodies was created by on-chain artist @0xfilter8 , who describes himself as building “living systems” where code is the medium and pixels serve as memory. The official contracts (collection, renderer, pixel data, and Hood Talk) are publicly verifiable on Robinhood Chain explorers.
Beyond the art, the project emphasizes utility and openness:
+ Hood Talk : Owners can give their Hoodie a permanent on-chain voice and public history.
+ Builder API : Developers can access artwork, traits, rarity, market data, and more to create new experiences.
+ Tools such as the Grid Exporter, Hoodie Cam (which filters the real world into the project’s 1-bit aesthetic), and Hoodie Explorer.
Community members have already begun building on this foundation. Recent examples include “Hoodie Social,” an app that assigns personalities, houses, soulmates, and rivals to Hoodies while generating on-chain-inspired lore.
Why It Matters?
@OnChainHoodies stands out in a space often dominated by short-lived mint-and-dump collections. By prioritizing permanence through full on-chain storage, open tooling for builders, and a clear cultural thesis, it aims to become lasting infrastructure and identity for Robinhood Chain users.
In @0xfilter8 words and the project’s own framing, the Hood is “more than a PFP.” It is an open canvas. an evolving neighborhood where art, identity, and community can continue to grow long after the initial hype cycle.
Whether you are a collector looking for distinctive 1 bit art, a builder seeking composable on-chain assets, or simply someone curious about the emerging culture on Robinhood Chain, OnChainHoodies offers a compelling invitation: Welcome to the Hood
