Official News Release: Princess Noor Pahlavi

Issues Urgent Call to Action
Princess Noor Pahlavi, alongside a group of Iranian activists, has released a powerful emergency message to the world. She warns of a looming catastrophe as the regime in Iran imposes a total internet blackout to mask its brutal crackdown on peaceful protesters.

"This is an emergency message from inside Iran. The Islamic Republic has shut down the internet while protesters are being violently suppressed in the streets. People are being shot, arrested, and killed, and the regime is cutting communication to hide its crimes.
This is not about security; it is about total control. By shutting down the internet, they isolate cities to destroy evidence and grant security forces total impunity. They are silencing victims, tearing families apart, and blinding the world to the truth.
This is a recurring tactic used every time the regime chooses violence over accountability. The people of Iran are not voiceless; they are being forcibly silenced. If this blackout succeeds, more innocent lives will be lost in the dark.
Do not let this happen. Share this. Speak out. Pressure your governments. If you believe in human rights, be the voice they are trying to erase."

Following Prince Reza Pahlavi’s call to action on the evening of January 8, Iranian protesters chanted "Long live the Shah [King]!" while planting the true national flag of Iran, the Lion and Sun, in Khorramabad, Lorestan Province.

While the Islamic Republic has cut off Internet access and phone lines to prevent coverage of the millions of protesters in the street, Prince Reza Pahlavi spoke directly to the people of Iran via multiple satellite television stations before the second day of his protest call.

[Reza Pahlavi @PahlaviReza]

[Reza Pahlavi @PahlaviReza]

Great nation of Iran, the eyes of the world are upon you. Take to the streets and, as a united front, shout your demands. I warn the Islamic Republic, its leader, and the IRGC that the world and @POTUS are closely watching you. Suppression of the people will not go unanswered.

[Reza Pahlavi @PahlaviReza]

[Reza Pahlavi @PahlaviReza]

[Reza Pahlavi @PahlaviReza]

Millions of Iranians demanded their freedom tonight. In response, the regime in Iran has cut all lines of communication. It has shut down the Internet. It has cut landlines. It may even attempt to jam satellite signals.

I want to thank the leader of the free world, President Trump, for reiterating his promise to hold the regime to account. It is time for others, including European leaders, to follow his lead, break their silence, and act more decisively in support of the people of Iran.

I call on them to use all technical, financial, and diplomatic resources available to restore communication to the Iranian people so that their voice and their will can be heard and seen. Do not let the voices of my courageous compatriots be silenced.

[Reza Pahlavi @PahlaviReza]

Mr. President, this is an urgent and immediate call for your attention, support, and action. Last night you saw the millions of brave Iranians in the streets facing down live bullets. Today, they are facing not just bullets but a total communications blackout. No Internet. No landlines.

Ali Khamenei, fearing the end of his criminal regime at the hands of the people and with the help of your powerful promise to support the protesters, has threatened the people on the streets with a brutal crack down. And he wants to use this blackout to murder these young heroes.

I have called the people to the streets to fight for their freedom and to overwhelm the security forces with sheer numbers. Last night they did that. Your threat to this criminal regime has also kept the regime’s thugs at bay. But time is of the essence. The people will be on the streets again in an hour. I am asking you to help.

You have proven and I know you are a man of peace and a man of your word. Please be prepared to intervene to help the people of Iran.
