On the second day of my Health Tour across Garissa County, I handed over a 54-seater bus to Garissa High School, fulfilling a pledge made by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto during his February 2025 development tour of North Eastern Kenya.

The new bus will strengthen the school's transport capacity, improving access and the overall learning experience for students.

As an alumnus, I reaffirmed my commitment to giving back to the community, urging students to embrace hard work and ambition, and reminding them that they too can rise to serve the nation at the highest levels.

I also outlined plans to onboard national security personnel, including the National Police Service and Kenya Prisons Service, onto the Social Health Authority (SHA), ensuring comprehensive health cover for them and their dependents across public, faith-based and private health facilities, just as enjoyed by teachers under the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

Finally, I reaffirmed North Eastern Kenya's strong support for H.E President William Ruto's 2027 re-election bid, a clear vote of confidence in his leadership and vision for inclusive national development.

I was welcomed by the Area MCA Hon. Abubakar Haji (Waberi Ward), the institution's Chief Principal Mr. Mahmoud Dubat, Board Chair Mohammed Abdi and Elias Jamma Noor the Chair of the Alumni Association, among other community leaders, stakeholders, parents and students.

On this blessed Day of Arafa, my family and I had the honour of officially opening Masjid Al-Abrar a modern mosque built in Garissa Ndogo, Garissa County, in memory of our late parents.

Situated on the land where we were raised, the mosque features a spacious prayer hall for men, a separate women's section upstairs, a Ghusul area for Islamic burial rites and a fully equipped ambulance, doubling as a hearse, to serve the community free of charge.

Built as a Sadaqa Jariah (ongoing charity), Masjid Al-Abrar is a heartfelt gift to the people of Garissa and a hub for both spiritual growth and social support.

The opening ceremony drew a large crowd of faithful and prominent leaders, including former cabinet minister Mohammed Maalim, renowned Islamic scholar Sheikh Umal Mohammed from Eastleigh, Nairobi, who led the maiden Dhuhur (Noon) prayer, and Abdi Bare Duale, Chairman of the Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) Board alongside several members of the Garissa County Assembly.
