Several people detained at Florida's "Alligator Alcatraz" are saying guards denied them clean water, food, and medication in an attempt to pressure them into signing English deportation documents they couldn't understand.

The Guardian reported rotten water with mosquito larvae, delayed medicine for diabetes or high blood pressure, and lots of pressure to consent to deportation without real legal access.

Spanish outlet El Pais described a Cuban man who was released from Alligator Alcatraz after nearly 6 months saying he lost 50 pounds, suffered serious diabetic complications, and barely received insulin.
