☀️The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued an amber heat health alert for our region until 20:00 on Tuesday 23rd June with high temperatures forecast. While many people are looking forward to the weather this weekend, there is an increased risk to vulnerable people.
If you have vulnerable family, friends or neighbours, it’s important to check in on them and ensure they are aware of the forecasts and are following the necessary advice.☀️

A patient said: "Every member of staff has always been polite, warm, approachable, and informative. From birth through to almost 18 years of age, my son has been under the care of the Cleft Team, and the support we have received has been outstanding throughout.
I would choose this team and hospital every time. Thank you for all the years of care, dedication and support you've given us, and for everything you continue to do. Thank you!"💙

🐾Happy #VolunteersWeek! At our hospital, not all of our volunteers are human - we're lucky to have 11 Pets As Therapy (PAT) dogs - like Teddy - who visit various wards and departments across the hospital. Their visits bring comfort and joy not only to patients, but to staff as well!
Lorraine, our Voluntary Services Manager says: "The visits by PAT dogs put smiles on so many faces – they give a simple yet meaningful lift that brightens the day and provides a welcome change of pace."🐶
We thank all our volunteers for their dedication, time and help👏
If you'd like to volunteer with us, please contact [email protected]
