As a former emo-goth theater kid the list of immensely depressing musicals I had on repeat is unending. Divorce? The Last 5 Years. Murder? Sweeney Todd. Presidential Assassinations? Assassins. The desperate loneliness of being the only single friend? Company. I COULD GO ON.
Adam Brody, as a warm, charming, kind and slightly nerdy romcom lead is for all us girls who thought (think) Seth Cohen is the perfect boyfriend protoype. How satisfying that he's everything I wanted him to be. And I maintain he should have played Michael in TPD
Dan had never seen a Cybertruck until today and told me in disbelief that he was convinced they were just a meme and they didn't actually exist because honestly, why do they?
I'm doing a trial of premium LinkedIn so I can figure out what to do next with my life but the only thing I've taken from it so far is my former mother-in-law apparently looks at my LinkedIn page with some regularity.
Watching kids move into dorms today and I think there is maybe no act of fatherly love that speaks to me more than a dad who is not from the city desperately trying to parallel park with no rear visibility because his car is stuffed with his daughter's tchotchkes.
God bless the employees at the Fullerton AT&T store who had to figure out what to do with me sobbing in January 2020 trying to get my number off the family plan I shared with my ex.
never thought about how many random ass people i would have to tell that i was getting divorced. verizon employees! car insurance agents! a trader joe's employee! (i did not have to tell the trader joe's employee but that one felt right).
I had to delete and repost because some pro-T***p folks found me thought I was anti-DNC for, like, *weird* reasons instead of wanting them to be more progressive (or, you know, less child-murdery). I will obviously begrudgingly vote for a less-than-perfect Democratic ticket.
My issues with the DNC and its treatment of pro-Palestinian protestors is currently at odds with my Chicago-pride-filled heart being warmed by non-Chicagoans posting about being impressed by Chicago things.
