@physiotalk I had a 4 day residential course on IAPT and dementia was included in this. Also had a day training from a local dementia network which was very MDT and so useful as a result eg SLT talking about communication strategies #physiotalk

@physiotalk Worked on an Improved Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) course a few years ago, really opened my eyes to PIP and I've been using what I learned in informal IST and learning sessions ever since

@physiotalk Any intervention using a PIP approach needs to take into account the patient beliefs, expectations, reality (rather than prescribing what we think they should be doing according to our own belief system and expectations)
