Veterinarian Dr. John Robb argues that unnecessary repeat vaccinations are causing serious harm to pets.

According to Dr. Robb:

• Thousands of pets are dying each day from vaccines they did not need.

• Rabies antibody titers can demonstrate lasting immunity, making repeat vaccination unnecessary in many cases.

• Vaccine-related adverse events can include anaphylaxis, autoimmune disease, injection-site tumours and other chronic illnesses.

Dr. Robb also says he refuses to administer a vaccine if he believes it would harm an animal, stating:

“I have a Hippocratic oath that is greater than any law... I won't do it.”

🎯 MY ASSESSMENT: Dr. Robb's central argument is that veterinary medicine should move away from routine repeat vaccination where immunity has already been established and instead make greater use of antibody titer testing. If existing immunity can be demonstrated, many pet owners will inevitably ask whether repeated vaccination is medically necessary in every case.

As pet owners, we have a responsibility to ask questions, understand the risks and benefits of any treatment, and ensure our animals receive care that is genuinely in their best interests. They depend on us to be their voice.
