Sheamus is set to leave WWE, as first reported @FightfulSelect.
The report states that his contract has expired and that he turned down an extension. He was not released. Per Fightful, WWE approached Sheamus about a restructured deal while he was out with an injury, and he quickly rejected it. With his contract already set to expire within months, there was no reason for a release and its 90-day non-compete clause. His WWE departure is described as happening soon.
Sheamus spent almost 19 years in WWE after signing in 2007. He became the first Irish-born WWE Champion in 2009, won four world championships, and captured the 2010 King of the Ring, the 2012 Royal Rumble, and the 2015 Money in the Bank contract.
Neither Sheamus nor WWE has commented.

Dear America... Thank you for standing with us and for believing in this team. Thank you for believing in the future of soccer in this country.
A toda nuestra gente... Gracias por su apoyo y por creer en este equipo. Gracias por creer en el futuro del fรบtbol en nuestro paรญs.
Can't believe that just because of pure greedy by TKO they lost 2 of the most iconic wrestlers of the 2010's in the span of 2 months.
Both good in the ring.
Both former World Champions.
Sheamusโ WWE career is coming to an end as he will leave at the end of his contract. ๐
How ironic is it that this ended up being his last ever WWE match.
No farewell tour.
No retirement announcement.
No โone last fight.โ
Thank you, Celtic Warrior. ๐
