Flagged off a fleet of Ka Bos Jong Ngi or Our Buses, the newly launched buses of the Shillong Public Transportation Service.
At present public transport accounts to only 5%. Hopeful that the buses will encourage our people to choose public transport and help unburden the traffic woes in the city and its adjacent areas. With this, we plan to increase public transport share to 30% by 2030 in line with our Shillong Urban Mobility Policy.

Attended the PRIME Meghalaya Onboarding & Graduation program at Ward’s Lake, Shillong, celebrating 75 startups graduating Cohort 5 and welcoming 75 entrepreneurs to Cohort 6.
As someone who began my own journey as an entrepreneur, seeing the entrepreneurs chase their dreams feels deeply personal. Greatly inspired listening to their journey today.
Assured the entrepreneurs gathered that challenges are inevitable but they are not alone. The Govt., through PRIME Meghalaya and many entrepreneurship support programs, is here to support them through the unknowns and the uncertainties of their journey.

Delighted to be part of the 1st North East India Organic Week cum Buyer–Seller Meet and the 4th World Organic Youth Summit in Shillong.
Organic Mission is far more than a buzzword, it represents our farmers, their heritage, and the traditional wisdom that has shaped how they cultivate the land. For generations, the people of Meghalaya and the North East have practiced what the world today calls organic and natural farming. Meghalaya’s Organic Mission is working towards preserving these practices and helping farmers prosper.
It is time to share this rich culture and knowledge with the world and to find meaningful collaboration to further help our farmers.
Strengthening organic agriculture will not only honor our traditions but also contribute to better health and well-being globally.
