There are now three states which have passed laws which require ALL Operating Systems (including Linux) to implement some level of Age Verification (or, at minimum, age data collection) for all computer users (including local-only users):
- California
- Colorado
- Illinois (just signed into law)
Developers have less than 5 months (January 1st, 2027) until the California law is fully in effect (with fines for non-compliance). Colorado and Illinois fines will follow.
This will apply to corporate Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.) as well as hobbyist and non-profit Open Source systems.

@MerriMadeline I wouldn't care if people called it the 'murder' route, the 'love' route, or whatever, its that 'no mercy' is so clearly just a way to appease tiktok audiences
at that point just call it the "Unalive Everyone!" route or some bullshit
@DT_SS_4E the term has been used for 10 years no mercy is an entirely different type of playthrough and nowadays it's being used as a way to censor the game for tiktok/youtube
@JuanmaB_1803 That's traditionally true but recently people have been using as a way to sanitize it for youtube shorts and tiktok like unalive or grape
@_SpyDtroid_ I'm not like, actually mad at you for doing it. I just get annoyed because 99% of the time the term 'no mercy' is just used as a way to appease the youtube algorithm and that whole trend is stupid
