"These woods really are infested, aren't they? We've spotted some things on our way here and obviously heard the rumours, but I wasn't sure what to believe and what's just made up."
"I doubt you'll find many who will say no to a good drink.", Sarnith replied with a quiet laugh. Especially not when it was about the good wines Mirkwood had almost promised to have. Or already had back then.
She tilted her head and leaned back, crossing her arms. "I suppose 》
"Then it's implied all pirates are renowned drunkards?"
Thranduil raised an eyebrow as well, over his cup. He was listening, despite his apparent distracted demeanour. He was too curious to know what she'd been up to ever since she left, to understand the sudden change. -
@OfElvenDescent "So basically, it's still you kicking us out.", Sarnith concluded with a slight grin, but nodded in understanding.
"I get that you're in a difficult position. But we didn't come here to get safety from you. We will be just fine on our own."
Sarnith took another sip of wine, 》
@OfElvenDescent 》heard about that as well. It's spreading everywhere, spilling into the waters as well."
Sarnith mused over it, watching the wine under the light for a moment. "Good thing then that I do not ask you to aid us. We came here to rest and for me to visit an old life. 》

"If I go out one day, I will make sure the world will know.", Sarnith smirked and then reached for the wine as well.
Sarnith shook her head slightly and became a bit more serious. "But that's something to worry about in the future. We 》

"But no one ever said we have to choose the easy route.", Sarnith added and shrugged briefly. "I didn't want to die like that." If she would go out one day, it for sure would not be a quiet day.
@OfElvenDescent "Surely not.", Sarnith replied in amusement and took another bite, taking her time to chew on it while she thought about Thranduils words.
Oh, she agreed with him, but she had chosen differently back then and now she had to live with it. "Death is always easier.", she 》

"Sometimes the changes are inevitably and right in front of one. It'd be hard not to see such." Sarnith remembered that day on the ship like it had been yesterday.
"And sometimes it means either dying or working with it."
@OfElvenDescent "I know.", Sarnith replied and raised her brow just briefly. "Only because I spend my days on a ship nowadays doesn't mean I forgot how to be an elf."
She grinned briefly and popped a small grape which decorated the plates into her mouth. Much sweeter than anything they had 》
"Do I look like I would prefer water?", Sarnith asked with a raised brow, huffing quietly.
Oh, she could feel his annoyance and frankly she didn't mind one bit. Perhaps it even entertained her – just a little bit.
"What I was up to?", she repeated while she also picked up 》
"Undoubtedly it is."
Thranduil dismissed the elf with the letter, to have it sent as soon as possible. He took the cutlery a moment later and began choosing from his plate one thing or another, to being eating. Sarnith's remark didn't seem to affect him in any way.
"Guests are-

"Different things, I'd say. Much different things than what I did back then for most of the time.", she added eventually. It was the best way to describe it, really. Because it was indeed something 》
Sarnith noticed the constant eyes on her, but she wasn't bothered further by it. It was too early to be annoyed at such and the bed way too good.
She sat down and watched him finishing the letter, only briefly raising her brow. "Oh, I did indeed.", she confirmed with a nod. 》
The servant lead Sarnith to the dinning chamber, not letting her slip from her eyes. She was seated at the table to the other side of Thranduil, while he finished writing the letter. It took a moment to seal it up and have it sent, then his attention was fully on Sarnith. -
