The legend behind Tinkerbell has passed away today 😔

Margaret Kerry, the actress and dancer whose movements inspired Disney's iconic Tinker Bell in Peter Pan, has passed away at the age of 97.

While she didn't provide Tinker Bell's speaking voice, Kerry spent months performing and acting out the fairy's movements for Disney animators, helping create one of the most recognizable characters in animation history.

Beyond Peter Pan, Kerry appeared in films, television, and voice acting roles throughout a career that spanned decades. She often spoke fondly about her work on the film, calling it one of the greatest blessings of her life.

Her family shared that she passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones after battling lung cancer. A piece of Disney history has been lost, but her legacy will continue to fly on whenever audiences return to Neverland ✨
