This ticket set-up, is a farce.
It is now impossible to buy away tickets without a season ticket, and becoming increasingly difficult to buy home tickets too.
For a board that has made it very clear that it wants to support fans who do not live in the town/are not able to attend every game; the route taken in regards to ticket sales is incredibly poor.
First you make us buy a ‘membership’ every year, because our 2500+points built up over a lifetime of support is no longer deemed of relevance.
Then you invite the touts to spend just £150 to buy-up all the tickets (both home and away) by giving priority access above all other groups other than ST holders, and putting zero requirements or obligations in, for someone to buy this fast-track option.
There are now no tickets for Spurs left for those who bought membership( as was suggested/encouraged by the club); with all tickets being sold out before the tier even opens. There are already dozens of tickets available on resell sites though, for a hefty mark-up.
Why have the club not bought a larger allocation for our first game of the season back in the premier league, and why has so little regard been given to lower earning supporters, who make up majority of the supporter base?
Fans are now forced to pay over the odds to touts to get any chance of seeing their team; and worse than this; it encourages fans of the opposing team to buy tickets alongside Burnley fans. Likely resulting in a repeat of the scenes we saw last season.
This has been poorly thought through and even more poorly enacted. Very disappointing.
