What exactly is it, and how does it work ?

The @arca_wallet is a new mobile dollar wallet developed by Constellation Network, designed as a simple, accessible wallet for everyday dollars. The people see dollars, underneath those dollars are stablecoins (like USDT, USDC).
It's built for everyday people, including the unbanked, by completely removing the typical "crypto feeling".

Arca is self-custodial, you hold your own keys. Arca can NOT control or move your funds and can not lock/freeze your wallet. Arca does not hold or control your private keys. You alone control them, so you have full ownership and responsibility for your funds.

Onboarding is very easy. You can sign up in 30 seconds using email or your Google/Apple login. You don't need a bank account, and there's no requirement for KYC or any other identity verification for basic holding and sending dollars.

Instant global transfers. You can send dollars to anyone, anywhere in the world in just seconds. The fees are extremely low at just 0.5%.

Savings functionality. You can move funds into flexible "Arca Savings" without a lock-up period. You can withdraw at any time. The balances are displayed and managed in dollars.

Borderless and inclusive. Arca works across countries from one app. Dollar transfers completely eliminate slow & expensive traditional banking and no third-party control your transfer.
Exportable and portable. You can export your account and move to compatible apps/services at any time.

The security model has a different approach from standard wallets. Instead of the 12-word seed phrase a recovery is tied to your login (email/Google/Apple).
Arca is built with a built-in recovery. For example, you can easily sign in on a new device to restore access, balance, and complete history.
Smart Account Protection enables pré-transaction checks for suspicious activities, especially when you connect to other apps via QR-code. You'll receive a warning when Arca recognizes this, before you actually do the transfer.
There's also 2FA-enabling on your login provider and you can set up phone biometrics/passcode.

The Arca wallet simply feels more like a modern mobile payments app than a traditional crypto wallet.
Users see and interact with dollars, while stablecoins and blockchain handle the backend without being visible to you.
There are no seed phrases, no gas fees, no network selection, and no technical inputs, when using this wallet.

Today, on Vietnam Veterans’ Day, we recognise the invaluable contribution of those who served and sacrificed during Australia’s 10-year involvement in the Vietnam War.

More than 60,000 Australians served in the Vietnam War from 1962 to 1973.

Of these, 15,381 were young men conscripted under the National Service Scheme, plucked from their regular careers, trained and sent to fight. Some only 18 years old.

Of those who served, 523 died and around 3,000 were evacuated with wounds, injuries or illnesses.

Many returned carrying the psychological scars of war.

We acknowledge and honour the selfless service of our Vietnam veterans. Their sacrifice is not forgotten. Lest we forget.
