No one can know a person’s documentation status by looking at their face or hearing their language. Yet that is precisely how anti-migrant violence functions. It does not merely target the undocumented. It targets African presence itself- Ibrahim Abdullah

"There is no religious genøcide in Benue State. In my state, we do not have any religious, ethnic, racial, or national genøcide. I am still a Reverend Father, being in governance does not take that away from me."👀
—Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, spoke yesterday at an event.
I genuinely thought after Libya, this script would never work in Africa again. Well it's 14 years later and it's happening in front of us all over again. In Nigeria, no less.
One thing is certain. If Africans go extinct or end up in reservations like Native Americans, it will be well deserved. People who have the survival instincts of newly-hatched ducklings.
Dear Muslims, sisters, and brothers,, I beg you to listen and REPOST this tirelessly: this is the actual truth about what is going on in Nigeria - there is no Christian genocide in Nigeria.
HELP US SPREAD THE TRUTH.
Thank you @bulamabukarti 🙏
The conversation in America is finally moving pass the reductive 'Christian genocide' narrative.
Listening to Influential conservative figures like Tucker and @robertamsterdam acknowledging Nigeria's intricate realities and root causes is a good development.
My PhD analysis covered data up to December 2020.
Using ACLED data from 2020 to September 2025, the BBC found that out of 21,000 civilians killed during this period, 317 were Christians.
Those intent on promoting false narratives may choose to dismiss figures drawn from such reliable databases, but the data speak for themselves.
History as Praxis: Yusufu Bala Usman 20 Years After.
Join us at this symposoum as scholars and activists reflect on the present state of Nigeria through themes that Bala frequently interrogated such as history, politics, class struggle, corruption, education etc.
In this book, he covers political parties and governance after he had left my administration with ample coverage of his administration as Governor of Jigawa State and his travails in office and after office. But most importantly, he makes serious and cogent observations and recommendations on the ills of democracy, constitution, governance and leadership in Nigeria as at the writing of his autobiography. It is his biography as he knows it and as he understands and perceives issues and events. He has put in a lot of work. It is a significant contribution to Nigeria of the Fourth Republic. And no historian, politician or public affairs officer should be without a copy of this book. I enjoyed reading it.
