We're excited to share new findings from our team, published in Molecular Psychiatry! We identified protein aggregates—misfolded proteins that can disrupt brain cell function—in a neuronal cell model derived from living individuals with schizophrenia. These aggregates were found in a subset of patients and were linked to cognitive impairments, suggesting a potential new therapeutic target.
