The launch of the #EWENE Acceleration Plan signals a shift from commitments to action—bringing together political leadership, county ownership, health workers, and accountability mechanisms to accelerate progress for women and newborns.

A key feature of the plan is a six-month Rapid Results Initiative targeting a 15% reduction in preventable maternal and newborn deaths by November 2026.

Because ending preventable deaths is not just a health priority—it is a measure of national progress.

The engagement focused on improving tracking systems, identifying financing and supply chain gaps, and advancing discussions on free family planning services for adolescents and young people.
