I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people, government, and leadership of the brotherly Republic of Djibouti on the forty ninth anniversary of their Independence Day. I wish Djibout and its people enjoy lasting peace, prosperity, and continued progress for the future.
In Mogadishu, Somalia, a lockdown ensued after opposition groups called for a peaceful protest against the government's expired mandate and unclear election process for President Hassan Sheikh. With his mandate expiring in five days and no firm election plan, tensions remain high
Shamelessly showcasing his Turkish handlers in Mogadisho, when forces they have trained & equipment are deployed in Southwest to create chaos. Sadistically, proclaiming Mogadisho is save when his home town is facing a looming war from FGS.

The chart below illustrates the number of suicide bombings in Somalia between 2006 and 2026 along with the fatalities caused by these attacks. Since 2022 there has been a significant decline in suicide bombings in the country. Hopefully, terrorism will be eradicated from Somalia.
Somali ministers held talks with U.S. embassy officials in Mogadishu to explore ways to strengthen trade and investment, with focus on business, energy, and natural resources.
Today, I had a productive meeting with the Speaker of the Somali Parliament H.E Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nor Aka (madobe) and discussed ways to enhance cooperation and strengthen legislative support for the development of Somaliaโs petroleum and mineral resources.
Wow, this is getting wild! Even The Guardian is now covering the Bosaso and Colombian mercenary story. This has gone international. What will Puntlanders have to say about it now?

BREAKING: Somali government troops and local fighters defeated al-Shabaab after a dawn attack by the terror groupโs fighters on El-Dheer town, approximately 350km north of Mogadishu, early Friday.
Al-Shabaab militants attacked the town from the Awsweyne direction (northwest) and initially entered the town from two sides. The militants twice broke through defense lines held by local fighters.
The militants attempted to attack a military camp outside the town manned by Turkish-trained fighters, Gorgor (Eagles), and were repulsed.
Government troops and local fighters, who have their main camps outside the town, then launched a massive counterattack, forcing the militants to retreat to the outskirts. Heavy fighting is still ongoing, and government forces have now received air support.
Government sources and residents said they have seen multiple dead bodies of militants abandoned in and outside the town.
The group, for their part, claimed to have captured the town and killed dozens of government soldiers. A senior Somali official denied the casualty figures reported by the militants. The official shared grim pictures of dead militants scattered outside the town.
El-Dheer is one of the last few towns captured that remain in government hands following the 2022-2023 offensive by the government and local fighters.

Somalia is facing an alarming national crisis. Corruption, insecurity, political scandals, and the collapse of governance are intensifying by the day. And yet, one question echoes across the nation: How does President Hassan Sheikh @HassanSMohamud sleep at night, while the following issues stare him in the face?
Hereโs whatโs happening

The Somali National Army โ once hailed as national heroes โ has been reduced to a disillusioned force.
Unpaid. Unarmed. Unled.
Stripped of morale and starved of support, the army has no clear chain of command and no strategic direction. Soldiers protest, desert, or die silently in forgotten outposts.
Mr. President, how do you sleep while your defenders starve in silence?

Homes bulldozed. Mosques destroyed. Women & children sleeping in rubble.
Land sold in secret deals to cronies linked to Villa Somalia.
Land-grabbing in daylight, tears in the night. Does this not keep you awake, Mr. President?

A weapons shipment was seized in Bosaso โ tied to businessmen and insiders with links to your administration.
The world is now asking: Has Somalia become a black-market hub for illegal arms?
And where is the accountability? Or is silence the new strategy?

Federal troops surrendered in Ras Kamboni. The stateโs own army routed โ not by terrorists, but by another Somali regional force.
This wasnโt just a tactical failure. It was a political ego trip gone wrong. And today, itโs repeating in Gedo.
How does a President sleep after orchestrating national shame?

Torn between Abiy & Al-Sisi.
No clear strategy. Just risky deals, secret promises, & geopolitical gambling.
Somalia isnโt a pawn, Mr. President.

No services. No reform. No real government.
Just ministries turned into profit centres for cronies. Donor money vanishes. Citizens beg for basics โ water, electricity, security โ and find none.
Somaliaโs state doesnโt just lack capacity. It lacks will.
Mr. President โ Somalia is not just unstable. Itโs bleeding.
And history is watching.
Will you continue to sleep through the collapse?Or wake up before itโs too late?
