@trsrpc Trust weird middle aged white men not able to accept some of the biggest games from the 80s and 90s had women behind them in all sorts of development roles, from lead to writer to composer. So many games would not be the same without their contributions
Seeing an influx of tweets on my feed saying "Gaming is a man’s hobby"
Sincerely, it isn't. Gaming is for everyone, especially women. The same people who helped build this industry and continue pushing it forward today.
56% off in the current Steam sale for the Utawarerumono Trilogy and Steam Deck been collecting dust for the past few months so seemed like a no-brainer to get this
@Creseki Back when development times were reasonable, games didn't cost a fortune and devs were willing to take more risks. Now it's all about major AAA releases that take years to release because they need to look visually impressive
@Creseki Not only did they shut down Japan Studio who developed most of their JRPGs but a lot of the developers for their series just died off after the PS2/early PS3 era. Level 5 is only one I can think of still around but they can barely get games out rn
9) The Boy and the Heron
9.5/10
Confused by plot at times but movie did an excellent job expressing Mahito's feelings coming to terms with his mother's death and having to move from Tokyo with his soon to be stepmother. If this is Miyazaki's last, what a way to end his career
8) Godzilla Minus One
10/10
Gripped from start to finish with it's emotional storytelling and phenomenal acting as you see WW2 survivors deal with the aftermath of Japan's loss and threat of Godzilla, with incredible visual effects all on a budget between 10-15 million dollars
The chuds call this game woke because they can't relate to Bond as he's a genuinely charming and handsome man that manages to sleep with three women during the course of this game without being a creep AND he's also a good person.
